2007 Chevrolet Cobalt Ls Coupe 2-door 2.2l on 2040-cars
San Clemente, California, United States
Hi, I am selling my 2007 Chevy Cobalt, Black, Automatic, Front wheel drive, 2.2 Cylinder engine. I bought the car for my wife to travel back and forward to San Diego since it is better on gas then her SUV. We have put a lot of work into it, but now we have to move due to receiving military orders and we can only take 2 vehicles. The car is running and driving good, no problems no leaks, all stock and has been detailed and cleaned. The car has 108k but the wife is and will be driving it until it sells. We have put in a motor with about 75k about a little over 1 months ago. The following parts are New all within the last 2 months: Engine oil changed with full synthetic mobil 1, New transmission oil New transmission filter New spark plugs, New knock sensor, New Ignition switch (I will give you the old one still good) New Air Filter New Oil Filter New Brakes (ceramic) New front speakers New right swaybar link New Rotors New front Struts/Shocks AC Just recharged New antifreeze (GM) Newer Computer with the latest Software updates from GM. New antenna
The tires have about 95% tread left on them. I will also include the following extra parts if purchase for asking price: extra cylinder head, ignition switch, four ignition coils, the original computer, intake manifold, and throttle body, fuel rain with injector and the old bottom end of the block if you would like and all except the block are in good working order.
Feel free to ask questions or to have an independent mechanic inspect it.
Vehicle is sold as is, no warranty implied.
Thank you for looking. |

GM takes heat for aborted Silverado riff on 'Boston Strong' at World Series
Thu, 31 Oct 2013During game five of the World Series, Chevrolet was set to do a spot of marketing for the 2014 Silverado - fans at Busch Stadium in St. Louis would hold up placards that spelled out the words "Silverado Strong," a theme that Chevy has been promoting since the Silverado's launch with the song "Strong," by Will Hoge. The St. Louis promo was ultimately called off, though, over concerns that it'd be insensitive to the visiting Boston Red Sox. (You can see the image of what the stunt would have looked like above, courtesy of one timely Reddit user.)
Now, the Busch Stadium stunt might not have been a big deal, had the St. Louis Cardinals not been playing the Boston Red Sox. Following the tragic events in Boston during the marathon back in April, the phrase "Boston Strong" gained traction among the city's citizens, especially at sporting events. So, you can imagine that Chevy's appropriation of the phrase might not sit well with some fans.
The stunt was ultimately shelved after images of the signs went viral before the game, leading to a bit of a public backlash. Chevy spokesperson Michael Albano said of the promo that it was meant to show the brand's "commitment to baseball and its fans." But after the images went viral, the company "realized there was the possibility that we may offend some of the very fans we were trying to honor," Albano told Automotive News via email.
Why the Corvette is Chevrolet's billion-dollar baby
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Edmunds has worked up a piece that tries to figure out just how much the global Chevrolet Corvette economy is worth, a spitballed guesstimate putting the number at more than $2.5 billion with the proviso that the number is probably low. It starts by taking Corvette's new car sales of 14,132 units last year, which would equate to $714,725,900 (including destination) assuming ever car sold was a base coupe with no options. In the final tally, a little extra padding gets that number up to $750,000,000.
But that's not all. Consider this: Many of the almost 1.4 million Corvettes produced over the model's history are still on the road. There are new parts being produced and aftermarket companies like Mid-America Motorworks deaing business, that single Illinois company doing more than $40 million a year in sales. There are the Corvette events large and small, restorers who do nothing but Corvettes, salvage yards that deal only in used Corvette parts and the Corvette magazines where owners find all this stuff.
And then there are the Corvette-themed tchotchkes, every single one of which provides a tiny contribution to the huge licensing royalties that General Motors collects every year. The article admits there's no way to come to an accurate number, but it just goes to show how valuable one specific model can be to a company.
2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible is the track car for sun worshippers
Fri, 11 Apr 2014
Supercharged, 6.2-liter V8? Check. Seven-speed manual? Check. Obsession with weight? Check.
What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
