Here is your Grandma's old Chevelle. All original untouched car. This is exactly the way I like to find them. Original paint. True NO RUST EVER car. Not a rust free car thats been patched and covered with bondo but a true NO RUST EVER body. Yes there is a huge difference. Just ask other sellers if there car is a true no rust ever car. Good luck with an honest answer. My reputation is worth more than $5000 bucks.

Anyway off my soap box.

This car is ready to drive anywhere in the country. I just drove it over 700 miles without any issues. Car is a pleasure to drive. Brakes are new. Stops right now and square too. Does not pull. Car also drives straight as an arrow. No vibrations, funny noises. I have noticed once in a while on start up it will put out some blue smoke so I assume the valve seals are dry. I just put new tires on the car also. Heater works great. Assume AC needs charged. It blows cold but its also winter... Car starts and runs great. Transmssion shifts solid and correctly. The car needs nothing to enjoy as is. Car is from South Dakota. I drove home from Omaha NE.

Car is in very good original condition. You can call me if you have any questions or concerns. Steve 765 744 7204.

 NO RESERVE.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

GM profits threatened by glut of pickups

Wed, 05 Dec 2012

Automotive News reports that General Motors may slash production or ramp up discounts in order to deal with an oversupply of pickup trucks. GM currently has more than double the standard supply of pickups, and the vehicles are threatening to dampen the automaker's profits for 2013. Typically, automakers try to sustain a 60- to 75-day supply of vehicles, but GM is currently loaded with a 139-day supply, as of last month. At the end of November, the automaker was sitting on 245,853 units.
The manufacturer says that it will adjust production accordingly before laying any incentives on the profitable pickups. Even so, there's some concern that the inventory swell could hurt the roll-out of the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. GM actually began slowly stepping back production in August, but it's clear the company will take further action as it heads toward the end of the year and into the next. Analysts predict the automaker could reduce pickup manufacturing by nearly half in the first quarter of 2013.
That still may not be enough to keep GM from laying extra cash on the Silverado and GMC Sierra. While the company's incentive spending was down in November compared to the same month in 2011, both the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150 saw double-digit percentage increases in sales last month while the Silverado and Sierra numbers slid compared to a year prior. Incentive spending could help move more trucks and add some balance to the GM inventory surge.

Race Recap: 2013 Indianapolis 500 better than Bollywood; all the emotion, none of the music [spoilers]

Mon, 27 May 2013

If the 2013 Indy 500 were a movie it would be the one expected to win all the little statues come awards season, and if it were an athlete it would have made spectators watch in awe as it broke record after record. And this kind of talk comes after last year's race was considered one of the best ever - the last lap hijinks in 2012 and Takuma Sato's crash leading to a podium ceremony straight out of a Golden Globes tearjerker.
But this year's race delivered more than anyone expected, from the 250,000 fans to the commentators to the IndyCar series itself and, finally, to the guy who hopped through a two-mile window on Lap 197 to take the lead and keep it until the end.
