1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute. 2-Year Restoration was completed in December 2008 SS-427 Badges. It has a Plum Exterior (rated about a 8 or9) and a Custom Leather Interior. Body is Laser Straight and almost all the Trim was replaced, if not all. It includes the following and then some, too much to list. Fresh ZZ502/502 Aluminum Head Motor, Has a Fresh (10 miles) T-10 B&W 4-speed Transmission, Rebuilt New Complete GM 12-Bolt, 3.73 Posi-Locker Rear-end including New Axles Components. Everything under the hood is New, High Polished Radiator, PS Pump and Remote Polish Resevoir, 16” High Polished Push Fan, Long Tube Hedman Headers, New Under-carriage Parts, Rear Control Arms, Wheel Bearings, Hoses, Belts, etc. New Rally Wheels with T/A Radials, Thousands spent on New Leather Interior, Carpet and Custom Dash with Auto-Meter Gauges. The Entire Interior is New. Seats with 502 Embroidered, Carpet, Headliner, Molded 502 Door Panels, Kick-Panels, Rear Head Panels and Custom Leather 502 Embroidered Rear Deck and Trunk Side Panels. GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups
Mon, 14 Oct 2013General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue
Wed, 14 Nov 2012General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
