67 Chevelle coupe SS Clone.  Leather bucket seats.  4 speed Hurst hooked up to fresh rebuilt M-21.  Had M-20 in it, worked all right but wanted upgrade.  12 bolt rear with 3:30 gears positraction. 30 spline axles. 10k on 69 427-390HP engine.   One year old Hooker Super competion SS headers with 4 in. side exhaust.  Pics shows last year exhaust.  Everything works, except radio(needs antenna)

Manual Ignition kill switch.  All aftermarket gauges mounted under dash. Tach mounted on steering column. All dash gauges works.  New headliner two years ago. Still need to attach sun visors.  Aftermarket cold air intake.  all pans good.  small amount of surface rust underneath, otherwise very clean and solid.  Heavy duty clutch and flywheel (11in)   Two piece Lakewood bellhousing for easy access.   14in big tires on back and 14in smaller ones on front.  Lots of tread left.  Has power steering box but not hooked up to ps pump.  4 core radiator with extra 10 in electric fan, turned on by inside switch.  If I remember any thing else, will add later.  Ask questions if you require any more info.  I have not raced this car at all.  I have had it 7 years working on it when I can.  Nearly complete except for items mention.   Will make a very nice muscle/nostaliga car for someone.  Was going to add A/C to it next month, but need money for home repair damage from last year storms.

   thanks

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.
