INTERESTED BUYERS PLEASE CALL ME FOR DETAILS AND WITH QUESTIONS (860)-428-1404

Real 138 Chevelle Super Sport. Factory 396 automatic. Marina blue with bright blue interior. It  has a date code correct 396 325 hp out of another 1966 SS Chevelle with a date code correct power glide transmission. Correct block heads & intake but nothing else. Original 12 bolt rear end is still in the car. What you see in the pics is what comes with it.

The car has a multiplex stereo  with 8 track player . No radio just the tape player and multiplex unit. Full gauges with a knee knocker tach. The tach is not with the car but has the factory hole in dash for it.  A 4 speed console comes with the car. It also has a very unique and rare rear heater. I have never seen one but it appears to be a factory dealer add on or maybe an executive prototype? There is a heater box with a blower in the trunk area and vents that stick out from the rear package tray. They are similar to A/C ducts but not identical. I have been unable to find anything out about this option, maybe some one out there has some information for me? Let me know if you do.

The car needs a complete restoration but has all the hard to find parts. Floors, trunk floor, rear 1/4's have rust. Front fenders and hood are original GM and nice rust free. Rocker panels are nice. The frame has surface rust but no rust through or patches if sand blasted and painted it would look good.

This auction is for the car as is but we can restore the car for you if wanted. call me for details

Other cars pictured are for sale and will be in upcoming auctions call for details on them

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.

Watch NASCAR racer Jeff Gordon put one over on a used car dealer... sorta

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Full Disclosure: in my younger days, I loved nothing more than tormenting passengers with my behind-the-wheel hijinks. Once, after a particularly artful handbrake turn on a two-lane at around 50 miles per hour, I left one backseat occupant crying in their own lap. This isn't necessarily something to be proud of, but it gives you a glimpse into why it is that I find this ad from Pepsi so damn disappointing. The premise is beautiful. Take NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, give him a disguise and set him loose upon some unsuspecting used car dealer. Hilarity ensues.
Except that this Pepsi Max commercial is so obviously staged, it can't help but feel like some ham-fisted marketing fail. From the strategically placed aftermarket cupholder mounted mid-dash for the hidden camera to the fact that the supposed dealer Camaro is displayed as a 2009 model (Hint: Chevrolet didn't make any), this clip is about as organic as a Twinkie. Still, we would never turn down a chance to watch Gordon thrash on a rental-spec coupe - only problem is, he probably didn't even do the driving himself. Check it out below.

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
