THIS IS A TRUE NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!

Thank You for looking at our auction for a very nice 1969 Camaro Rally Sport. My wife and I bought this car from an older gentleman several years ago and have used it for cruise inns and nice weather driving. We are selling to finish a cabin that we have been building otherwise we would not sell, it is a great car that you can drive and enjoy while you tinker with it.
The car overall is great. It was restored approx. 15 years ago and at that time quarters, outer wheel houses, trunk pan, new GM fenders etc. were installed. The only rust that I know of is a little under the battery which I understand is normal. overall very solid !!!! The car still looks great but does have a normal scratches and a a ding or two from driving. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT A 50k SHOW CAR.  It is a very nice driver condition car.
It is an original Rally Sport!! Not a clone that has been converted. The headlight doors do not work unless you manually open them. I was going to convert them to electric but have never done so. It has the original matching numbers 307 engine and automatic transmission. It has brand new BFG tires. It cranks runs and drives great, very smooth down the road, brakes are good etc etc. It is a factory A/C car and everything is present. It has never been re-charged since the motor was rebuilt several years ago.
All in all a very good, solid, original car that you can get in and drive anywhere. I am selling the car AS IS  just like we bought it due to its age. I am not an ASE certified mechanic or a Camaro expert. Please call me @ 864-483-7619 with any questions or concerns. I reserve the right to end the auction due to a local sale.

Export is welcome!!!! The car can stay in my garage until shipping arrangements are made at no charge. payment due within 7 days after close of auction. Please make sure you have the funds before bidding. I have the South Carolina title in hand.

GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.

GM tinkering with Silverado, Sierra model mix amidst strong early sales

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. That's a lesson that is currently being taught to General Motors, because despite a strong showing from its 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, the General's pickup sales still can't best those of cross-town rival Ford.
With 59,163 trucks moved, GM fell just over 1,000 units short of toppling Ford, and one of the main reasons for that, according to GM's chief sales analyst, was due to a lack of variety in the engines and body styles available on dealer lots. "We are still over-weighted toward crew-cab V8 trucks. Our light-duty mix will moderate over time as our launch progresses," said Kurt McNeil.
Loading dealers with the popular combination of the 5.3-liter V8 and the four-door, Crew Cab body style was intentional during the truck's launch, but as supplies of leftover 2013 models, which are being sold at heavy incentives, are beginning to wane, both budget-conscious and high-dollar buyers are looking elsewhere instead of at the volume model pickups.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
