Hello, my name is Tom and I am selling our 1994 Chevrolet C3500 Dually Stake Truck with 68+ thousand miles. This is a clean, low mileage truck that you must see to appreciate. This truck is equipped with the durable and powerful 6.5L Turbo Diesel and 4L80E Automatic transmission and 3.73 rear gear ratio. This truck has been meticulously maintained, and is in need of absolutely nothing that I know of currently. The truck has (nearly) new brakes all the way around, Brand New front tires, Like new (90% Tread) rear tires, New Muffler, New fuel sending unit, New A/C Delco fuel lift pump, New PMD/FST Fuel control box complete with relocation and cooling kit, All fluids and filters have just been serviced (Fuel, Oil, etc.) This truck starts, runs, shifts, stops & drives like new. This truck was owned by the city of Grand Ledge Mi. (municipal title) with an older primary driver which purchased the truck just before retiring. We purchased the truck from him last year with thoughts of converting it to be our car hauler/wrecker,however decided not to. If you have been looking at trucks of this caliber (and are getting tired of finding worn out rigs in need of significant maintenance and repairs), please look at this one after you have seen the rest. This is a rig that you can get in and start working with confidence today. The warranty has long since expired,so the truck is sold as-is.However rest assured we are/will not giving any reason to question our Integrity as we have been blessed doing business in our home town for over 37 years.Truck must be paid for within 5 days of listing close. Some states require you to pay purchase taxes here in Michigan along with a $10.00 temp.license plate. We have a clean clear title (& conscience) to go with this sale.Fly in (we can/will pick you up from Lansing or Flint Mi airport) and drive it home.

If this looks like something you can use, you are welcome to come check it out most anytime. Please give me or my son a call to arrange a viewing/test drive. We can be reached at our place of business Monday-Friday 9am-6pm...Nights & weekends by appointment.

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.

GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
