This is a nice Chevrolet Silverado 1500 regular cab 4x4 truck. Truck has been taken care of and it really shows.100% original paint. Low mileage truck, it has right at 116200 miles on the truck. It is the original mileage for the truck and drivetrain. Two owner truck with no accidents (look at auto check). The interior is really nice and clean. Dash has no cracks in it. The carpet is in great shape with no dirt stains. The seat has electric lumbar adjustment and has two tiny ash burns on it but they are hard to find. Has power windows and locks that function perfectly. Has power mirrors but they haven't worked since I got the truck could be an easy fix. The heat blows hot air and the a/c blows super cold! Has a dealer installed security system. The exterior body panels have no rust and have not had any work done to them. The bed has a plastic bed liner. The bed has a few minor scratches, which is normal for a truck. The top clear coat is just now starting to peel very little, but other than that the body is super solid/ no rust. The front bumper has a rust spot on each end (seen in pictures above). Frame has surface rust. The frame is still solid and is not rotten. Has the original wheels with an almost new set of a/t tires. The motor is a 350/ 5.7L and has a new stock style muffler and pipe from cat back to the rear of truck. Transmission is automatic 4L60E. It is 4x4 and has the Z71 package installed with all the skid plates. Motor runs great, trans shifts smoothly, and the 4x4 goes in and out with no problems. The steering is tight and works properly. The breaks work really good and will stop you quickly. Truck does NOT leak a drop. This truck doesn't have a whole list of new parts because it hasn't and does not need them. Overall the truck is in good shape and will make a great daily driver. It is up to the buyer for the shipping/ pick up of this truck. No personal checks unless cleared first and no trades. Cashier Check, cash(in person), or paypal are payments I'll take. $300 deposit at end of auction is due. I have done my best to describe the vehicle. Mopar Hellephant is sold out, but here are 4 other awesome crate V8s to try
Mon, May 6 2019Despite a relatively enormous $30,000 price tag, Mopar's 1,000-horsepower supercharged Hellephant crate engine sold out in just 48 hours. Some enthusiasts may have missed out on the crazy engine due to lack of funds, or they just assumed there would still be some Hellephants down the line. But worry not, swap-happy gearheads. There are plenty of V8s in the world to pick from, and we highlighted four favorites. They're not as powerful, but they're all cheaper, and still have a lot to offer. Mopar 6.2L Hellcrate Odds are a lot of prospective Hellephant buyers were Mopar fans to begin with, so we'll start the list with the next-most-potent offering: the Hellcrate. This is the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found under the hood of the Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcats and the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. It makes 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque like those cars, too. It's also about $10,000 cheaper than the Hellephant engine at $20,020, and that leftover money can be used to finish the project or for aftermarket upgrades to get it closer to the Hellephant's output. GM LS9 6.2L The Hellcrate isn't the only factory supercharged crate engine on the market. From General Motors comes the supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8. This is the engine that was used in the C6 Corvette ZR1. At 638 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque, it doesn't make as much power or torque as the Hellcrate. But it does boast a dry sump oil system. So instead of pumping oil out of a pan at the bottom, the engine uses an oil tank mounted remotely that pumps oil into the engine. This means the engine is shorter overall, and can be mounted lower for a better center of gravity. It also means that there's almost no risk of running the engine dry in hard cornering, as could happen with a normal oil sump where the oil can slosh to the side without the oil pump. Basically, it offers some major benefits if you want supercharged V8 power for a road course car. It's also a tad cheaper than the Hellcrate at $18,149. But get one while you can, because GM is only selling what's left from when it was building the C6 ZR1. Ford Aluminator 5.2XS Our pick from the Blue Oval lacks a supercharger, but it's still pretty sweet.
Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.
General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
