Oroville, California, United States

Up for sale is grandpa's old truck: 1984 Chevrolet  Scottsdale brownish gold exterior and brown/tan interior shortbed 4wd. The truck spent a long time in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Placerville, California and has some rust mostly on the bed. There was a repaint done years ago and could use new paint. The inside of the bed has LineX brand spray on bedliner and a matching color camper shell that shows its age. The tailgate has a dent, but there are no other dents on the truck except minor dings. The interior is very clean. The dash has the usual cracking, but the seat and carpet are in great shape. The door panels are in better condition than most and the windows roll up and down fine.It has a Kenwood stereo with detachable face and the stock tilt steering column with stock steering wheel. The tires are in good condition with lots of tread remaining and are mounted on aftermarket aluminum wheels. The 5.7 liter 350 engine runs and idles good, but the engine is tired. The California emissions are still intact. The 700R4 transmission shifts good with no hesitation at all. The exhaust is quiet with no issues and the cat was replaced a few years ago. The truck originally came with dual tanks, but is currently running on the right side only. The truck has a receiver hitch and comes with patch panels for the rear wheel wells.

This is a good looking truck at a low no reserve auction starting price. Please email or call/text (email is best as I'n in a bad phone service area) (530)370-9200 if you have any questions. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I will cooperate with your shipper to make it as easy as possible for them. $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance due within 7 days.

GM recalls select Chevy Cruze, Sonic and Buick Verano models over airbag issue

Wed, 14 Nov 2012

General Motors is recalling certain 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic models due to a defect in the driver's airbag system. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the airbag has a shorting bar which may contact two internal terminals. If that happens during a crash, the supplemental restraint may not deploy, increasing the risk of driver injury. The recall includes a total of 2,949 units.
GM will contact owners and replace the steering wheel airbag coil at no cost. At this point, it's unclear when the recall will begin, though owners may contact the automaker at 1-800-521-7300 for more information. You may also take a closer look at the full NHTSA notice below.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
