Up for auction, I have a garage fresh 1966 Chevy C-10 pickup truck. The truck has been parked inside a garage since 2004, when the owners son passed away, was a father and son project. They installed a V8 out of a 1970 Chevelle. It ran before installing, but they never finished hooking up the plugs, wires, etc. Automatic transmission and VERY RARE factory air. Most of the AC unit is there, but we are looking for the air compressor and some hoses. This was the first year AC was available in Chevy trucks! Solid floors, excellent frame and cross members. Brakes are up, tires are fair, and suggest a flat bed is needed to take home. DOES NOT CURRENTLY RUN. I took the plugs out and put Mavel mystery oil down the cylinders, and let it sit for a while. Motor now has compression. The paint on the truck is perfect for a Rat Rod look! Comes with extra hood, grille, headlight, headlight bezels, a rocker panel, cowl and each side of the cowl patches, as well as the original bumper (truck has heavy duty bumper with trailer hitch on it now). 2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.

Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.
