The person we bought it from a few years back put the current engine in when we purchased it. Very rarely used this year. We did drive a bit last year. Camper has a bit of exterior damage from being dropped by previous owner during a jack."

Purchased from a dealer in April 2011. We drove often the first year. It has been our best running vehicle. This last year, we have had it parked on a private property but it starts up with a jump and runs great. May need a new battery.

Engine runs well. Everything is in good condition. Original wood truck bed, custom plates, large back window, long bed, tires recently purchased.

The odometer is missing mileage info. It was locked when we purchased. The dealer had put in an engine at that time and was going to restore the entire pickup but sold it to us .

This cabover camper has been lived in by us for over a year in our travels. Everything inside works great - heater, 4 burner stover top, oven, lights etc. There were two batteries that were burnt out that came with it. We haven't bothered to replace as we have hooked up to electricity and had lights that way. We had springs placed in the truck due to the weight of the camper. During a recent trip to the mechanic, he apparently forgot to replace one of the springs. We didn't have the camper on it at that time. When we did place it back on, the right side drooped. It would just take replacing the overhead springs on the right side. The camper is a bit top heavy, however, it's best on a larger pickup but we've had fun with it. It's been our retro combo. We had placed the truck/camper in a Walmart parking lot this Feb...it was towed.. during the tow, the back right jack was not lifted and thus was pulled off. We may reattach before you come to pick up or you can reattach yourself if you'd like. It's for the most part repaired. I would suggest towing the vehicle to your location perhaps removing the camper to place on springs before driving. Both work and run great. We are at the present still staying in it. Email with any questions.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
