1997 Chevrolet Blazer
Hello and welcome to my auction! For sale is a '97 Chevy Blazer that would make a perfect parts or project car. I have a clean title in hand and it is ready for a new owner! This is the 4 door LT model with a 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. It is 4 wheel drive with leather interior, and has just over 140K on the clock. Also included is a sunroof, power windows, and radio. There are mounting points for a snow plow if you are interested in throwing one on for the upcoming winter. There is also an electronic module hooked up for the plow, however will likely need to be modified to work with your specific setup.
The car fires up and is movable under its own power. It makes its way around the parking lot quite well, however will need very much TLC before being completely "road worthy". The idle fluctuates, brakes should be fully inspected/replaced, Brake NOT working needs to be TOWED (water accumulates on the floor), left front tire has a slow leak, power locks are inoperable, the list goes on...and not to mention all of the body work it could use. If it did not have a running engine, it would honestly be at the scrap yard right now. Due to these various issues, it is being sold completely AS-IS with NO warranty. I highly recommend that any potential buyers inspect this vehicle before bidding. Feel free to send me a message so we can arrange a time to meet. Please thoroughly review the pictures.
Auction will start at $450 NO RESERVE! I maintain the right to end this auction at any given time, as the vehicle is for sale locally. Buyer is fully responsible for vehicle pickup and/or transport.
Good Luck and Happy Bidding!

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*
Fri, 26 Apr 2013After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).
