Up for Auction is a 1957 Black Chevrolet Belair Hardtop, with Black & Red Interrior and 29997 Actual miles. This car has lived in Al all its life and is a rust free and mostly all original paint car. The Options include the original 283-4 Barrell Power Pac Engine,Plowerglide Transmission, Padded Dash, Power-Steering,Power-Brake and Working Wonderbar Radio and the original Jack and Spare. This car is truly a time capsule and drives just like it did when it rolled off the Assembly Line in 1957. The Lady who bought the car new in Decatur Al kept it only about three months before selling it to the 2nd Owner in the Muscle Shoals area who kept it for the next 48 years or so. At his death his son sold it to a couple of friends of mine in Bham area and it changed hands a couple of times and now it lives back in B'ham. I have oil change reciepts and letters from the people who maintained the car for the 2nd owner during the time period that he owned it. This car is amazing original condition. More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.

After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
Chevy to show redesigned Captiva in Geneva, will it come to US rental lots?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013Unless you're renting a car or driving through Orlando, Florida (the rental car capital of the US), you'll probably never see a Chevrolet Captiva - the rebadged, fleet-only version of the old Saturn Vue - on our roads, but this crossover is popular in many other parts of the world. As such, Chevrolet announced that the Captiva will be getting an update for 2013, which will be unveiled next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Coming off a pretty extensive refresh in 2011, the 2013 model year will bring even more changes to the Captiva like LED taillights, new 18-inch wheels and revised fascias with a new grille and fog lights up front and inset chrome exhaust outlets at the rear. New interior features include heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control as well as available options on some of the upper trim levels such as leather seating and keyless entry and start. We have yet to hear back from Chevrolet as to whether or not the updated Captiva will be making its way to a rental lot near you, as the model is only available in the US to fleet buyers.
Alongside the updated Captiva, Chevy is also showing off its new Trax in Europe, where the subcompact crossover will go on sale this spring. GM's press release for these two Geneva-bound models is posted below.
