1957 Chevy Belair 2dr Hardtop. This car underwent a complete frame off rotisserie restoration that took over 4 1/2 years to complete, no expense spared, over $235K invested. All chrome and stainless is either new or restored. New GM crate ZZ4 engine with a GM hot cam kit installed, sitting on top is edelbrock 2/4 EnduraShine carbs on EnduraShine edelbrock performer intake. Engine is all chromed out, with chrome front runner system. New 700R4 tranny. New 10 bolt posi rearend. Vintage heat/air. CCP 4 wheel power disk brakes, chromed. Polished aluminum driveshaft. Polished stainless steel exhaust and muffler system. Polished stainless steel gas tank. Unisteer power chrome rack and pinion steering. Custom leather interior with 4 bucket seats and console from front to back. Trunk is finished out to match interior. 17" Chrome Foose Wheels. Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
