1955 chevy Belair Convertible Project, i bought the car just how you see it in the pictures, the car under went a
frame off restoration and when it got to this point the project stopped for some un none reason and i bought the
car from the gentleman after the car sat like this for about a year, i was going to tear the car back apart and
make it into a pro touring car with a LS1 and overdrive and air to enjoy but i have to many project now as it is,
thats why the car is up for sale, the car has had all new floors, trunk, quarters, rockers, and rear filler
installed. The belair is a factory V8 car, and the motor in the car appears to be the correct power pack motor that
the car left the factory with. Everything for the motor and trans appears to be here for the car, including the
breather. Both the motor and trans have been completely redone, and I'm hoping that the pictures show that, also
their is a new exhaust system run under the car. All new brakes and lines run, new gas tank is in the trunk. The
car was painted the blue and white, with two tone blue interior, but the car is a factory black car with red and
beige interior from the factory. The car has a hood but it is not painted yet. The car also has all new weather
stripping, and a new front windshield that goes with it, that is not pictured. Basically what you see in the
pictures is what you get, but the majority of the car is already assembled and together. The paint on the car looks
great, i do believe it was never wet sanded nor buffed, but it has a few scratches now from sitting around and
being moved.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Convertible offers a few more views before reveal

Mon, 04 Mar 2013

Over the weekend, Chevrolet released its first images of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Now, ahead of the droptop's official introduction tomorrow at the Geneva Motor Show, the automaker has given us a few more shots of the softop C7 showing off the car's rump albeit from a high, strategically positioned angle.
From this angle, it's hard to get a sense for how long and flat the decklid really is, but we can easily see that, like the rest of the C7's design, the new convertible's decklid and tonneau cover are far more detailed than the current car. We also get a better look at the rear haunches sans brake vents, which have apparently been moved to underneath the car in order to accommodate the top's hard cover.
As for the overall styling of the C7 convertible, with the top erected, we get some idea of what a coupe design (as opposed to the Stingray's fastback shape) would look like on this car. The C5 Corvette most recently had a coupe model that did away with the large glass hatchback, and we recently reported on a low-cost "coupe" model potentially being added to the C7's repertoire.
