BE ADVISED THAT HOOD AND TRUNK WERE REPLACED DUE TO HAIL DAMAGE. THE PAINTER DID A FAIR JOB BUT NOT FACTORY QUALITY. HOOD ACTUALLY IS VERY NICE. TRUNK HAS A FEW SAND MARKS WHICH COULD BE REDONE AND THERE ARE TWO SMALL DENTS IN THE DECK (INSIDE OUT TYPE) DUE TO SOMETHING THAT WAS IN THE TRUNK. VERY FEW PEOPLE NOTICE THESE THINGS. THE VINYL TOP IS NICE EXCEPT FOR A FEW PLACES WHERE HAIL DAMAGED IT AND I SEALED THE PLACES. SEE PIC! INTERIOR IS AN 8 OUT OF 10. THE HEADLINER HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE CENTER ARMREST HAS BEEN RECOVERED BY A PROFESSIONAL INTERIOR REPAIR SHOP.A NEW MUFFLER AND NEW SHOCKS WERE INSTALLED BACK IN DEC OR JAN. AIR RIDE WORKS! MAINTENANCE IS CURRENT INCLUDING OIL AND TRANSMISSION SERVICES. WINDOWS,LOCKS,AC,CRUISE,LEFT AND RIGHT MIRRORS AND PASSENGER AND DRIVERS SIX WAY SEATS ALL WORK. RECLINER ON DRIVERS SIDE TRIES TO MOVE BUT I THINK SOME CHANGE IS STUCK IN IT."

A NICE DAILEY DRIVER THAT TURNS HEADS AND THAT PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS ASKING ME ABOUT.

I FOUND THE CAR FOR MY DAD YEARS AGO AND HE DROVE IT UNTIL A FEW MONTHS BEFORE HIS DEATH IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR. I PURCHASED THE CAR AT AN AUTO AUCTION AT A TIME WHEN I WAS AN AUTO WHOLESALER. WHEN THE CAR WENT THROUGH THE SALE SOMEONE HAD EVIDENTLY PUSHED THE BUTTON ON THE DASH
WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE FROM U.S. MEASUREMENTS TO METRIC. THE AUCTION ENDED UP RECORDING THE MILEAGE READ OUT IN KILOMETERS
INSTEAD OF DOMESTIC MEASUREMENT OF MILES. THAT IS ONE REASON WHY THERE IS A MILEAGE DISCREPENCY SHOWING ON ANY AUTO CHECK REPORTS. YOU WILL ALSO SEE WHERE A (1) WAS ADDED TO THE MILEAGE DURING AN ANNUAL EMISSIONS TEST. FOE THESE TWO REASONS I AM GOING TO SELL THE CAR AS MILEAGE UNKNOWN. I OFFERED TO GET THESE ERRORS  CORRECTED FOR MY FATHER BUT HE SAID HE DID NOT CARE BECAUSE HE WOULD NEVER TRADE THE CAR AND WOULD DRIVE IT TILL HE DIED WHICH HE DID UP UNTIL A FEW MONTHS BEFORE HIS DEATH.
ITS A GREAT CAR AND IS DRIVEN REGULARLY. MILEAGE WILL INCREASE DURING THIS SALE AS I AM DRIVING IT AT LEAST FIVE DAYS A WEEK. IT ALWAYS PASSES EMISSIONS TEST! SERVICE WORK IS CURRENT. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS AND DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY THE CAR. YOU CAN SEE MY FEEDBACK
SCORE IS 100 SO I AM HONEST AND EXPECT THE SAME. THE FRONT LICENSE PLATE DOES NOT GO WITH THE CAR. IT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A FACTORY CADILLAC REP YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS WORKING FOR A CADILLAC DEALER. AGAIN LET ME SAY THIS IS A WELL MAINTAINED NICE DAILEY DRIVER.....NOT A SHOW CAR!
THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK!

2016 Cadillac ATS-V blasts into LA

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

The first details about the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V recently hit the web ahead of the official debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Now, the latest model to wear Caddy's high-performance V moniker is officially official, and the specs are even better than initial rumors suggested.
The latest figures actually give the ATS-V a hair more power than first believed, with 455 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque pumping out of the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6. With a standard electronic limited-slip differential keeping rear wheels in check, Cadillac claims that the model sprints to 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 185 mph. Buyers have two transmission choices that both offer launch control: a six-speed manual featuring Active Rev Match and no-lift shifting, or an eight-speed automatic.
Thoroughly revised suspension and braking systems should also mean that the ATS-V excels at more than just going in a straight line. The chassis itself receives extra bracing to boost overall stiffness by 25 percent over lesser ATS models. On top of that, a host of suspension upgrades front and rear, including third-generation Magnetic Ride Control dampers, mean quicker steering response and a tighter ride. Plus, Brembo six-piston calipers up front and four-pistons in the rear should bring rapid deceleration. To tune it all to the driver's whim, the Performance Traction Management system gives five settings to choose from for stability and traction control.

Cadillac CTS-V spotted with big exhaust, new grille?

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

If you thought Cadillac was content to leave its twin-turbocharged Vsport as the range-topping CTS, think again. Behold, our first good glimpse at the next-generation Cadillac CTS-V sedan, sporting more aggressive styling (somewhere under there), meaty quad-exhaust pipes, and what very well could be a new face for the V-badged Caddies.
Creating an all-new grille design seems like an awful lot of work just for a prototype, so it's very possible that the vertical-bar treatment you see here could make its way into production. Our spy photographers have pointed out that they've seen this same sort of grille treatment on prototypes for the smaller ATS-V sedan, and we've heard V-series models may soon have greater differentiation from the standard vehicles that sired them - that seems especially necessary if Cadillac insists on expanding this whole Vsport range.
Regardless of how its front end looks, the CTS-V ought to be a real monster. Industry sources say we can expect to see a supercharged version of General Motors' 6.2-liter V8 under the Caddy's hood, and considering the current car already makes 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque, we wouldn't be surprised to see a decent increase in both of those numbers. After all, one of the CTS-V's main competitors, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, is currently putting out 550 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Could this mean a 600-hp Cadillac is on the horizon?

Cadillac CTS Vsport laps the N"urburgring in 8:14.10 [w/video]

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

You don't have to be German to test your car at the Nürburging. You just have to be serious about beating the Germans on their own home turf. That's why Nissan tests its GT-R at the Nordschleife to challenge the Porsche 911, and why Cadillac - which is no less serious about putting up a fight to German performance sedans - has returned to the 'Ring once again with its latest.
This time it's the turn of the new CTS Vsport, the sportier version of Cadillac's new mid-range sedan that aims to bridge the gap until the arrival of the next CTS-V. So how'd it fare? At the end of what we're sure was an exhaustive test session, the new CTS Vsport clocked a time of 8:14.10.
To put that into context, General Motors points out that the time places the new sedan six seconds ahead of the first-gen CTS-V, whose 400-horsepower V8 engine was actually less potent than the Vsport's new 410hp 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6. That's still a good fifteen seconds slower than the outgoing CTS-V that clocked a 7:59 in 2009 with its 556hp supercharged V8, but only a second behind the E60-generation BMW M5 with its high-revving 500hp V10.
