Other than 1 re-paint this car is ALL ORIGINAL I have the original title window sticker and owners protection plan booklet that the original owner used to record all maintenance on car.

Rather than list equipment on car check out pic of window sticker it has all options listed.

original owner owned car from new until 2002 second owner owned it from 2002 until this spring when I bought it. I was just at a car cruis held at the dealership where car was bought new and the original owners sons immediatly recognized car and came over and talked to me. I got a complete verbal history of car.

The paperwork on this car is amazing. Original title, original window sticker and the owner protection booklet. there is a pic of a page from the booklet.. The original owner used it as a log book to record all maintenance on car. He changed oil EVERY 1000 MILES!!! Flused cooling system and changed antifreeze every 10,000 and changed transmission filter and fluid every 10,000 This car was maintained extremly well. i found out from the sons that their dad was a mechanic. That would explain the great maintenance.

This car is so original it still has all 4 T-3 headlights that work, original radiator cap, original voltage regulator, original starter and of course its numbers matching 300 cu.in. V-8

Now for condition of car.

INTERIOR

ALL ORIGINAL Near perfect original interior. 1 small split in drivers armrest and thats it rest of interior is great. no pitting in any chrome or pot metal on interior pieces. it has the deluxe seat with the pull down armrest. AM radio Clock. Steering wheel has a split it the center area near where you blow horn. LOOK at pics one of the nicest original interiors I have ever seen.

Exterior

1 RE-Paint. nicely done no paint where there shoudnt be. NO RUST  on body only filler i detected was the heel of drivers fender. (original owners son told me thats the only filler in car.) ALL trim is very nice, rear bumper has a ding in it on the left side. rear  window trim lower piece has a couple dings in it. Car still has all its original weatherstripping which is in very nice shape. paint is in nice shape shines nice has a few chips here and there which I have touched up.There is a small ding in drivers fender and a small ding in top of pass qtr. panel. Car was rustproofed when new. entire underside of car is coated with it. Thats obviously what has kept thei body in such great shape.

i do have the fender skirts I just took them off to drive car I prefer it without them on they will of course go with car.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT

Engine compartment is all original with exception of belt, hoses dist cap. It has its original battery cables, voltage regulator, starter, alternator, air cleaner. other than routine maintenance the engine compartment on car is original and untouched.

TRUNK

the trunk is rust free with its original spatter paint original trunk mat, original jack, original rally spare with redline tire on it. Trunk floor is perfect NO RUST.

I have a clear Michigan title in my name. car needs nothing ready to go. Car doesnt leave until I have Cash in hand. car stays here until funds are wire transfered into my bank or I have cash in hand.

Everything on car works as it should with the exception of the factory clock. The car rides beautifully no squeaks no rattles. All the glass is in excellent shape. This car is in great shape with the documentation to back it up. Drive it anywhere. You could fly in and drive it home. Car is for sale locally so i reserve the right to end auction early. Buyer arranges and pays for shipping.

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]

Thu, Dec 18 2014

Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.

Buick Electra-X concept teased for Chinese audience

Tue, May 31 2022

Buick is about to show its largest market, China, how the brand does an electric vehicle specifically for that clientele. The Tri-Shield released two images of the shark nose that will grace its Electra-X concept, a follow up to the Electra concept that debuted at the Auto Beijing in 2020. Instead of the 583-horsepower, high-riding, thick-bodied fanciful sedan of yore, the Electra-X should be a much more production-ready version of what Chinese buyers can expect. Buick China said that "The Electra-X concept takes Buick's innovative thinking and imagination of future electric mobility to the next level. It is designed to provide a safer, smarter and more desirable EV experience, building on Buick's deep understanding and insights of local consumers toward electrification and intelligent driving." This will be a different vehicle than the "groovy" EV concept Buick showed its American audience in February of this year, although there are similarities. Buick China also said of the Electra-X that it is "defined by the brand's all-new design language" that embodies "distinct and forward-looking styling, along with an airy interior." Another design trait will be slim, sloping DRLs, seen on the Chinese and U.S. concept teasers, with slight differences. The Asian market can also expect minimal surfacing, an ornate grille treatment, side mirror cameras, and trim A-pillars. Tech-wise, Buick says the Ultium-based product will come with Super Cruise and its Virtual Cockpit System. The China debut happens next month at 2022 Buick Brand Day. Our groovy EV debuts this summer, the automaker planning to have two electric vehicles in U.S. showrooms by the end of 2023. The Electra-X could give big clues about what's headed our way.
