This mid-sized, 4-door sedan with FWD is a great buy. The 3.8L V6 engine has wonderful pickup. The interior is in outstanding condition with leather seats. Very good mechanical condition. Automatic climate control/dual zone. Illuminated vanity mirrors. Audio-AM/FM stereo & audio-cassette player. Steering audio controls. Traction control. Cruise control. Keyless entry with 2 key fobs. No wrecks. Vehicle history report done by current owner available. Tires on front are new. Tires on rear are new in the last year, or so with limited wear. Large trunk with cargo net. Gas mileage:  City 17 / Hwy. 27 / Combined 20.

Note for accuracy:  One trim strip over roof missing (almost not noticeable). Just a few (3 maybe) tiny dents and scratches from parking lot doors. Paint on bumpers dulling just a bit. Mechanic indicated vehicle might eventually need some engine gaskets replaced, but it is fine at present. Condensation tends to remain inside on headlight covers, but doesn't affect use. Latch on middle interior console broken (but still closes).

Also note:  Miles are low for the age of this vehicle. This car was owned previously be two older women who took good care of the vehicle and did not drive it a great deal. We have also taken good care of it. Mechanical records are available. This car is in Excellent condition for it's age. Would provide someone with quality, reliable transportation at fraction of the cost of a new vehicle.

Other info:  A/C ice cold, Excellent condition, Looks & drives great, Mostly highway miles, New tires, No accidents, Non-smoker, Seats like new, Title in hand, Very clean interior, Well maintained

GM laying off 510 amidst slow Cadillac, small car sales

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

General Motors is laying off about 510 workers from two factories beginning in January, and it could be months before the automaker needs some of that latent capacity to come back on line. A combination of poor sales and high dealer inventories are prompting the cutbacks, according to Automotive News.
The largest changes come at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, where the Cadillac ATS and CTS are made. An entire shift of about 350 workers is being laid off, but the automaker hopes to find positions for some of them at other nearby factories. The decision leaves just a single shift building vehicles there. According to Automotive News, the move is partially spurred by Johan de Nysschen's plan to make Cadillac a more exclusive brand.
The lost shift will likely return for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro at the plant, according to the report, but GM isn't saying when that will be. A previous announcement from the Canadian Auto Workers union indicated that the Oshawa, Ontario, factory would lose the coupe in late 2015 or early 2016.

GM sweetens military discount for Buick, Chevy and GMC

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

American servicemen and women interested in a new vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick or GMC now have a bit more incentive to head down to their local dealer, as General Motors has announced plans to improve its military discount program.
The new GM Military Discount Program offers eligible consumers a new Chevy, Buick or GMC at invoice pricing, which in some cases can take very large chunks out of a car's retail price. When factored in with other incentives, most of which are available with the Military Discount, the bargains are thick on the ground for members of the US armed forces.
GM's Retail Sales and Marketing Support general manager, Chuck Thomson, said, "GM has long supported the military and military families, and we hope this simplified and enhanced discount will show our appreciation for their service and help make it easier for them to own one of our great new vehicles." The program is open to all active duty and reserve members in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard, as well as veterans that have been out of the service for less than a year. Military retirees and their spouses are also eligible for the discount.

How to hack a Buick Regal with CarKnow

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

If you own an Apple iPhone or Android device, perhaps you've been tempted to jailbreak or root it. This process gives you access to the the software's code, and can be used to make minor or drastic changes to its operating system. CarKnow, a company in Boston, is working applying a similar concept to the automobile.
Translogic recently took a look inside CarKnow to see just how it can tweak the computers inside a car and what sort of things can be done. As our transportation tech sister site explains, CarKnow basically created a digital duplicate of their Buick Regal in the cloud, while harvesting data generated to create custom apps and infiltrate the deepest function of their test car.
And before you freak out about people maliciously taking over your car, CarKnow's founder, Josh Siegel, stresses that it isn't quite so easy as driving up alongside someone. Take a look at the full video below to see just what it's like to jailbreak a car.
