Exceptionally clean, dealer maintained SUV. Vehicle had CPO warranty that expired a week ago and has been maintained only by BMW from new. Car just had a complete inspection and anything replaced that needed to be and a full service done. Ready for another 10k before another service is required. Vehicle has every option other than Sport Package and parking lot left/right cameras. Vehicle has been coded by a BMW tech to turn on many options turned off by BMW america including, auto open and close windows, sunroof and rear hatch from keyfob, auto fold mirrors on lock, rear brake force lighting (quick flashes rear lights in emergency braking), navigation and TV in motion etc etc (big list available!!)... this SUV was my wifes toy and is in excellent shape with options galore! Heated and ventilated seats, leather upgrade, massaging driver seat, surround camera, back up camera with park sensors, auto hold brake, downhill descent control, rear climate package, heated steering wheel, upgraded LED halos and fog lights, headlight package with adaptive projectors and around the corner angling fog lights. Comfort access requires no button pushing or key fob inserting, just grab the handle jump in and push the start button. Privacy rear shades over the privacy tint glass means rear passengers ride in cool comfort. Vehicle had the rear bumper scratched in a parking lot by another driver, no parts required to fix, just a professional repaint of the bumper, Carfax should show this. Vehicle is straight, clean, in excellent mechanical condition and is ready for a new home. My wife has her eye on a new car and unfortunately I cannot keep this SUV myself, our loss will definitely be your gain! Please contact for details... title in hand.

BMW X4 M probably not in the cards
Thu, 26 Sep 2013BMW is preparing to exploit its latest market niche - those that find themselves unable to choose between the 3 Series, 4 Series and X3 - with the X4. If you're looking for an M product, though, you'll remain limited to the 3 and 4 Series. BMW's Bernhard Ederer, at the Australian launch of the X5, told Car Advice he wouldn't "bet on it," when asked about a hotter X4.
Oddly, Ederer's reasoning, according to the Aussies, is out of concern for the X6 M, whose sales the X4 M would apparently cannibalize. That's like saying the M3 doesn't make sense because it will cannibalize M5 sales - the logic just doesn't really hold up. "The question is what customers are we talking to? And are we talking to someone that is willing and able to afford [an X6 M]?" Ederer told Car Advice.
Car Advice seems to feel the same way, claiming the X3-based X4 will share its powertrains with its donor platform, and will eventually spawn an M variant, albeit a few years down the line.
Ward's Automotive Ten Best Engines of 2014 dominated by diesels, turbos
Thu, 12 Dec 2013With the Car and Driver Ten Best decided, the North American Car and Truck of the Year finalists announced and Cadillac, Ram and Subaru chalking up wins with Motor Trend, it's fair to say that the automotive awards season is in full swing. The next set of trophies to be handed out will be from Ward's Automotive, which has announced the winners of its 2014 10 Best Engines.
The latest contest was marked by the widespread emergence of diesel power and the continued success of turbocharged engines. There was even an electric motor on this year's list. In fact, only three of the ten winners were naturally aspirated and only two winners returned from last year.
"We weren't looking to throw the bums out, as they might say about an election. We were just really impressed with the flood of new powertrains," said Ward's Automotive Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter. Those new powertrains include the 83-kilowatt electric motor from the Fiat 500e, the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Ford Fiesta and the 2.0-liter turbodiesel from the Chevrolet Cruze.

Prices start at $41,450, excluding an $895 destination and handling fee. The price tag will buy you a 328i xDrive Sports Wagon with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine boasting 241 horsepower paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. The automaker's xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive is also standard, as is a fuel-saving auto start/stop function and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-season run flat rubber.
Buyers can step up to Sport Line trim for $2,600, and doing so graces the 3 Wagon with 18-inch wheels, high-gloss black accents outdoors as well as a sport leather steering wheel, high-gloss or aluminum interior trim and a black signature key fob. Luxury Line trim will set you back $2,300 abd features chrome trim accents outdoors and wood trim inside along with other goodies. Buyers can also opt for Modern Line trim at $2,300, complete with a turbine-design 18-inch alloy wheel, matte chrome trim bits outdoors and a range of interior trim options.
Our favorite of the bunch? That would be M Sport trim. While the tweaks are largely aesthetic, we dig the notion of 8-way power adjustable sport seats indoors and exclusive M Estoril Blue paint outside. Expect to pay $3,950 for the pleasure. Head over to the BMW site to build your own.
