UPDATE: Had full synthetic oil change and timing belt water pump service done YESTERDAY 8/16/13. replaced all parts. pulleys, tensioner gaskets hardware, everything in the system. I have a 2004 Audi A8L that has been the best car that my family has owned. We are looking to sell it to reduce our "fleet" It has higher miles (High way) but has been checked out by Good Karma in North East Minneapolis and it all checks out, they said "this is really a nice car. I would never guess it has as many miles as it does." The paint, Burgundy Red Pearl effect, is nearly spotless and still shines like it was new. The interior is in great shape with no rips in the heated, and cooled leather seats. Air ride system works as should, MMI works. I have both the CarFax and the AutoCheck reports available upon request. Ask questions PLEASE. Has almost every option, except the back up camera (IT DOES HAVE parking sensors) or the solar roof, which were junk and gimmicky. Plus you don't actually get the sunroof with the solar option. MPG 17 city 25 Hwy. Pretty good for a BIG 330hp V8 ! As with all Audi A8L's it is AWD Quattro, and has a 6 speed Automatic (Triptronic) transmission. I have 2 full sets of wheels with good tires. Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Audi CVT suit settlement given green light, 64,000 cars covered
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Audi drivers, listen up. If you bought or leased a 2002-06 model-year A4 or A6 with a factory-installed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that failed, you may be entitled to reimbursement under a recently settled class-action lawsuit with corporate parent Volkswagen.
According to Automotive News, the settlement covers about 64,000 vehicles and alleges that "manufacturing and design problems caused the transmissions to fail and left owners stuck with repair costs." While the suit also argues Audi was aware of these issues (going so far as to hide that knowledge from consumers), the settlement stops short of acknowledging any wrongdoing by the German automaker.
Audi drivers are eligible for a cash reimbursement if their CVT repairs occurred within 10 years or 100,000 miles of the date they bought or leased the vehicle before June 19, 2013. To be eligible for compensation, drivers must submit a claim form (found here) with supporting documents by November 18.

Fri, 28 Feb 2014Audi has teased the new TT coupe ahead of its Geneva Motor Show reveal with renderings and video, but now, what appears to be a photo of the new two-door has leaked onto the web, courtesy of Autofans.be. And if you're thinking, "Well, jeez, that looks familiar," you definitely aren't alone. Aside from the new lighting character in the taillamps, everything you see here looks pretty much unchanged from the old car. Of course, the front should get a nice freshening, and that interior should be super-high-tech. We'll reserve final judgments until we see the new TT live in Geneva next week.
