Mint Condition 1991 Acura Integra on 2040-cars
Citrus Heights, California, United States
|
Up for sale is my mint condition 1991 Acura Integra LS. This is a true needle in a hay stack find that you will never again run across. This California car has always been garaged and covered since new. It has had 3 extremely picky and meticulous owners. The first owner was an older Asian gentleman who sold it to the second owner when it had only 29k miles in 2004. The second owner who I bought it from earlier this year with 84k miles is in his 50's. I am the third owner and honestly am afraid to drive it most of the time because it is so close to perfect.
This soon to be classic Honda has never been in an accident or driven in the rain. The interior and exterior are like new and original with no noticeable imperfections. The car has only 85k original miles but looks as if it only has 20k. It may be hard to believe but the body and paint are original. The only paint work that has ever been done were to the mirrors, door moldings and bumper moldings(they were originally black plastic) This was done to give the car a cleaner look and to imitate the Integra LS Special edition. For those who don't know, the special edition Integra in this year came with all trim panels painted the same color along with black and tan two tone interior. The body has no dings, dents, oxidation or noticeable scratches. The paint looks new even though it is original. All trim around the glass is like new(very rare, see the pictures). The original hub caps are in excellent condition with no cracks or oxidation. All lights and glass are like new. The interior has no rips, tears, burns, stains or foul odors. Nothing is broken or missing. Everything works on the car along with the factory radio and power antenna. The interior and exterior are a 9.7 out of 10. The interior still smells new. My car is mechanically perfect. It has no leaks, vibrations or problems what so ever. It runs and drives just as good as it looks. It is mechanically a 10 out of 10. The motor is quiet and the transmission shifts smooth with no grinds. The alignment, brakes and suspension are perfect. The tires and brakes are new. The tires were replaced 2 years ago and have only 2k miles on them. The brakes including all new rotors and ceramic pads were replaced 3 months ago. The battery, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, rear trunk shocks, cam seal and oil have all been changed within the last 3 months as well(less than 500 miles ago). The a/c has been changed to R134 and blows ice cold. This car needs nothing any time soon! These cars are impossible to find in a 5 speed manual transmission in like new condition! 99.9% of these cars that have manual transmissions were used to commute in or have been modified. I spent years searching for this car along with my 1988 Honda CRX that has 69k miles and 1999 Integra LS with 62k miles. This Integra is most likely the last one left in this pristine original condition. This is what we call a survivor in the classic car world. I didn't get as lucky with my other two low mileage Honda's. It cost me $4,500 a piece to have each one painted just to make them as nice as this one. I am as picky as it gets! I do not want to or need to sell this car! I know what I have and what it is worth. The value of this car is only going to go up if kept in this condition. I need only to sell one of my 3 Integra's to buy my Uncle's boat. The 1999 Integra is off limits being as it was given to my fiance. If my 1993 Acura Integra show car which is also on ebay sells first then this one is off the market. No exceptions! I would much rather sell my 1993 than this one. My other Integra is no longer practical being as I am in my 30's. I have my fiance and her kids to think about first, not a super modified Honda. Good things aren't cheap and cheap things are rarely ever good! Please read I reserve the right to end this listing at any time, should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. Acura may go all AWD in bid to mimic Subaru's success
Mon, 13 Oct 2014Acura's struggles have been well publicized. The Honda-owned luxury brand doesn't seem sure of where it's going or what it's trying to accomplish, with its cars and marketing lacking a coherent theme. Now, a new report from Automotive News claims that the brand could follow the success of Subaru and (to a lesser extent) Audi, and adopt all-wheel-drive as standard across its model range.
"I think that's the way we should go," Acura boss Koichi Fukuo told Automotive News.
Acura already offers some form of all-wheel drive on every vehicle in its line aside from the lamentable ILX sedan. That could change as Acura begins rolling out next-generation versions of its still relatively new stable of sedans and crossovers.
Acura Pikes Peak lineup is out, and there's a race-prepped MDX Sport Hybrid
Wed, Jun 19 2019Acura is coming back to Pikes Peak for the 2019 edition of the hillclimb, and it's bringing four vehicles to attack the mountain. Not the fastest, but perhaps the most interesting of the bunch is a race-prepped 2019 MDX Sport Hybrid. Engineers took the 3.5-liter V6 from the non-hybrid version (Hybrid has a 3.0-liter V6) of the MDX and bored it out to 3.7-liters. It then works together with Acura's three-motor hybrid system for a combined 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Shifting is still done by Acura's 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The extra power is thanks to the larger displacement and special tuning for the engine and electric motors. Further upgrades to the MDX include a race-tuned active-damper suspension system and a roll cage. Acura says it goes a long way to increase structural rigidity. Additionally, Acura removed most of the vehicle's interior, including every seat but the driver's seat. Piloting the MDX is Jordan Guitar of Acura R&D's chassis development team. A couple NSXs, one "Time Attack" car and one mostly stock, will also run up the mountain. The Time Attack NSX has more power from larger turbos, bringing the system output up to 625 horsepower. Weight-saving measures have dropped 200 pounds from the structure, and there's plenty more downforce thanks to a big wing front splitter. Not much has been done to the production-spec NSX, as it simply adds a roll cage and racing seat with a harness. The Acura RDX that ran up the mountain last year is returning for this 2019 run. It features a modified 2.0-liter turbo that makes a respectable 350 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. That extra power comes courtesy of a larger turbocharger, short-path intercooler and an electric supercharger. Can we have all that for production, please? The last Acura in the field is the same RealTime Racing TLX GT that won its class last year. There's one more NSX that'll be going up and down Pikes Peak, but not in anger. Acura is providing an NSX to act as the official pace car of the event, and it's predictably painted in the easy to pick out Thermal Orange.
Daily Driver: 2016 Acura RLX Sport Hybird
Thu, Oct 8 2015Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2016 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid, reviewed by Seyth Miersma. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. And don't forget to watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00]Hi y'all. This is Seyth with Autoblog. I am driving the 2016 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH All-Wheel Drive, or SH-AWD, as we like to call it. Any way you slice it the name is a mouthful. This version of the RLX, the hybrid, incorporates an all-wheel drive system that includes three electric motors: one up front, two in the rear turning the rear wheels in [00:00:30]addition to the 3.5-liter gasoline engine. Now, that powertrain effectively makes it the performance version, hence the sport, of the RLX line. It's got a total system output of 377 horsepower, and 341 pound feet of torque so there's plenty of go juice in this hybrid. Clearly Honda had some performance in mind when they were putting this system together in addition to the sort of typical hybrid good gas mileage. It's rated at 28 MPG in the city, and 32 on the highway. [00:01:00]I've been seeing around 28 in two days worth of driving so far, and playing around with it. It's not the fuel-sipper that you're going to buy ... not a car that you're buying for economy exclusively. The good news is that when you really get into it, the car does feel quite quick. You still have that electric torque so you're really getting a lot of torque push from the rear wheels. You really do feel like kind of a performance all-wheel drive experience [00:01:30]more than a front-wheel drive experience like you get in the typical RLX. Now, it's not a sports sedan. It's pretty squishy. There's not much steering feel. Really throwing it from bend to bend isn't that rewarding. The car that I'm driving today is loaded out to around $67,000. I think you can spend a little bit more than that if you really try, but it kind of is at the top end of the RLX range. I feel like everything does come together kind of neatly. I don't think that this interior is going to feel very old in a couple of years. I think it'll age pretty well because it's a [00:02:00]conservative design frankly. The downside is that, unlike some cars, particularly a lot of the new Mercedes coming out right now, nobody's going to sit down in this RLX and think, "Wow.
