Mint Condition 1991 Acura Integra on 2040-cars
Citrus Heights, California, United States
|
Up for sale is my mint condition 1991 Acura Integra LS. This is a true needle in a hay stack find that you will never again run across. This California car has always been garaged and covered since new. It has had 3 extremely picky and meticulous owners. The first owner was an older Asian gentleman who sold it to the second owner when it had only 29k miles in 2004. The second owner who I bought it from earlier this year with 84k miles is in his 50's. I am the third owner and honestly am afraid to drive it most of the time because it is so close to perfect.
This soon to be classic Honda has never been in an accident or driven in the rain. The interior and exterior are like new and original with no noticeable imperfections. The car has only 85k original miles but looks as if it only has 20k. It may be hard to believe but the body and paint are original. The only paint work that has ever been done were to the mirrors, door moldings and bumper moldings(they were originally black plastic) This was done to give the car a cleaner look and to imitate the Integra LS Special edition. For those who don't know, the special edition Integra in this year came with all trim panels painted the same color along with black and tan two tone interior. The body has no dings, dents, oxidation or noticeable scratches. The paint looks new even though it is original. All trim around the glass is like new(very rare, see the pictures). The original hub caps are in excellent condition with no cracks or oxidation. All lights and glass are like new. The interior has no rips, tears, burns, stains or foul odors. Nothing is broken or missing. Everything works on the car along with the factory radio and power antenna. The interior and exterior are a 9.7 out of 10. The interior still smells new. My car is mechanically perfect. It has no leaks, vibrations or problems what so ever. It runs and drives just as good as it looks. It is mechanically a 10 out of 10. The motor is quiet and the transmission shifts smooth with no grinds. The alignment, brakes and suspension are perfect. The tires and brakes are new. The tires were replaced 2 years ago and have only 2k miles on them. The brakes including all new rotors and ceramic pads were replaced 3 months ago. The battery, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, rear trunk shocks, cam seal and oil have all been changed within the last 3 months as well(less than 500 miles ago). The a/c has been changed to R134 and blows ice cold. This car needs nothing any time soon! These cars are impossible to find in a 5 speed manual transmission in like new condition! 99.9% of these cars that have manual transmissions were used to commute in or have been modified. I spent years searching for this car along with my 1988 Honda CRX that has 69k miles and 1999 Integra LS with 62k miles. This Integra is most likely the last one left in this pristine original condition. This is what we call a survivor in the classic car world. I didn't get as lucky with my other two low mileage Honda's. It cost me $4,500 a piece to have each one painted just to make them as nice as this one. I am as picky as it gets! I do not want to or need to sell this car! I know what I have and what it is worth. The value of this car is only going to go up if kept in this condition. I need only to sell one of my 3 Integra's to buy my Uncle's boat. The 1999 Integra is off limits being as it was given to my fiance. If my 1993 Acura Integra show car which is also on ebay sells first then this one is off the market. No exceptions! I would much rather sell my 1993 than this one. My other Integra is no longer practical being as I am in my 30's. I have my fiance and her kids to think about first, not a super modified Honda. Good things aren't cheap and cheap things are rarely ever good! Please read I reserve the right to end this listing at any time, should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. The following terms of sale apply: Payment Please, if you do not intend to pay, please do not bid. All bidders with less than 5 feedback's need to call me or their bid might be canceled. 1991 Acura NSX Luggage Test: Will a Motocompacto fit in the trunk?
Mon, Nov 20 2023I know I know, the wait has been killing you. From the second the Honda Motocompacto electric scooter/suitcase was introduced, you've desperately been begging the universe to answer the following question: "Will the Honda Motocompacto fit in the trunk of a 1991 Acura NSX?" Believe me, the suspense was killing me, too. Well, rest assured, your answer is finally here. I stumbled upon old friend Tyson Hugie and his predictably pristine 1991 Acura NSX at Radwood Socal two weekends ago. While chatting about my/his old Acura TSX finding a new home with a collector in North Carolina, a gentleman on a Honda Motocompacto whizzed by and finally pulled up to a stop among the small group of people gathered around the NSX and an Integra Type R. We initially thought it had been brought by the Honda PR rep who was attending Radwood (he did in fact have one in his trunk, an Acura 2.3 CL), but it actually belonged to the person riding it. Patrick Vidal had only just got his Motocompacto the previous Monday, but had already put it to work as his last-mile transport. He says it fits behind his seat in his Toyota MR2 Spyder, as if this story couldn't get more rad. As I stood there with Tyson and Patrick chatting about life with Honda's latest creation, I started staring at the back end of Honda's finest creation. Then I looked back at the Motocompacto ... and back again at the NSX. "Um, do you think that would fit in the NSX's trunk?" I asked, turning to Tyson. "Oh, that's happening," he quickly replied. We asked Patrick if he'd be game, and no shocker, he was. Tyson cleared out the trunk and Patrick started the process of transforming the Motocompacto from a scooter into luggage. The transformation is certainly not a seamless process. There's lots of steps, and Patrick said that he's still getting the hang of remembering all the bits and pieces. Again, though, he'd only had the thing for five days. Initially, I doubted the Motocompacto would fit, but as it got smaller and NSX trunk got emptier, I got a lot more confident. "OK, let's do this," said Mr. Luggage Test, rubbing his hands together. Officially, the 1991 Acura NSX was listed as having 5 cubic-feet of trunk volume. That's actually the same as my 1998 BMW Z3's trunk, but when you're talking about such a small amount, the shape of the space really matters and in this case, the NSX trunk is basically a big rectangular cavity with a protrusion from the engine bay. OK, let's get to the bags.
Acura 2019 RDX Prototype | New era for a popular crossover
Mon, Jan 15 2018Acura took the wraps off its sleek new RDX Prototype today at the Detroit Auto Show, displaying a completely redesigned, re-engineered crossover that heralds a new era for design and technology for the automaker. Acura says it's a pretty close representation of the production version due out midyear as a 2019 model, save for the highly stylized side mirrors and wheels. The Prototype serves as the third generation of the RDX, and Acura says it's the first full embodiment of the new exterior and interior design language first introduced on the Precision Concept, shown in Detroit in 2016, and the Precision Cockpit, a concept interior it unveiled in Los Angeles in 2016. So in addition to the Precision's diamond pentagon grille, which has already made it to the TLX, the crossover adopts the Precision sedan's low, wide stance and sculpted body panels. Compared to the outgoing RDX, the new version adds 1.2 inches of width and 2.5 inches to the wheelbase, with a shortened front overhang and wheels pushed to the corners. Headlamps and exterior lights are all LED. The RDX Prototype debuts the all-new Acura True Touchpad interface, which combines a touchscreen and remote interface in one Android-based operating system. There's a 10.2-inch full-HD display atop the center console that's operated via a remote tracking pad mapped to the center display, plus an interactive heads-up display. (Here's a good video explainer for how it works.) It also has a new and improved natural-language voice-recognition system. View 12 Photos Inside, there's more space, rear legroom and cargo space. A floating center console is inspired by the Precision Cockpit, plus high-grade materials including nappa leather, brushed aluminum and Olive Ash wood. It'll also be the first Acura SUV offered with the brand's sporty A-Spec trim, which will eventually be part of all core Acura models developed moving forward. And all RDX models will come equipped with a new ultra-wide panoramic sliding moonroof, the largest in its class. Acura is building the new RDX on an Acura-only platform that gives it a lighter and stiffened body, new chassis and all-new powertrain that it says will be its quickest and best-handling RDX to date.
2024 Acura ZDX revealed with up to 500 horsepower
Thu, Aug 17 2023The 2024 Acura ZDX electric SUV has been revealed along with many of the basic specifications. It will be available in two basic trims, the A-Spec and the Type S, and both offer fairly impressive performance and range wrapped in a package that's very similar to the Precision EV concept. The basic shape of the ZDX is quite close to the Precision, but everything has been softened. The nose still leans forward with a solid main grille, it has a floating roof, silver lower trim and a cab-rearward shape. Concessions to practicality include the conventional door-pulls and larger lower grilles for powertrain cooling. The A-Spec and Type S look pretty similar, with the main difference being wheel size: 20 inches for the A-Spec and 22 for the Type S. The A-Spec's tires are also 265-mm wide while the Type S gets 275-mm tires. And that top-trim ZDX gets the option of the Double Apex Blue Pearl from the concept, or the Tiger Eye Pearl from other Type S models. Unlike the Precision, the ZDX actually has an interior, and it does a good job of hiding its GM roots, at least at first glance. It has a low dash with slim air vents and a pair of screens for instruments and infotainment; 11 inches and 11.5 respectively. The screens are split up, and sit low behind a wraparound cowl design. Looking closer, though, and you'll see that the steering wheel and climate controls are carryover from the related Blazer EV, though that's not necessarily a bad thing. Acura has another important difference from the GM products: It will feature wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, in addition to all the Google Built-In apps. An 18-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system is standard, too. Other fancy tech includes rear emergency braking with rear cross-traffic and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, automatic parallel parking and, thanks to being based on a GM platform, hands-free highway driving assist (Super Cruise by any other name). Digging beneath the surface, we find that the A-Spec will come standard in rear-wheel-drive form, quite the departure from a company with decades of front-drive history and experience. It gets a single rear motor making 340 horsepower. It will be available with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain that we're presuming has the same total output, seeing as Acura didn't specify a different amount. Multi-link independent suspension with fixed shocks and springs are also standard for the A-Spec.
