So, I went here to test drive a few Audi`s..... and before I could even get in, my sales rep got news that Phil Haw`s is NOW out of business.....

Felt bad for the chap :(

Don`t buy from them!!!!

My father, who happens to be an L1 diagnostician(a very skilled mechanic for those who don`t know.), did an inspection on one of the cars they were trying to sell to a customer. Needless to say he was disgusted with the vehicle. The car was leaking oil like a sieve and after looking even further into it, he found the outer tie rods were about to break, and even said he could have broken them easily with a tap from a ... view moresmall hammer. The transmission did not shift properly at all. The struts and upper bearing plates for the suspension were shot out and not working properly. He declared the car unsafe to even ""drive"" out of the shop he worked at. I still can not believe they were selling a car that was unfit to be driven on the rode safely and even had the guts to charge $9,000 for it. What a bunch of reckless cheats to try and sell a car to a family with two babies that they most likely would have gotten in an accident in. Just a reminder to anyone buying a used car, PLEASE get in inspected by a certified mechanic before you sign and buy anything from any used car lot.

All used cars have their complications we know this but if you take care of them they will take care of you and I`m not only speaking about the car. I would recommend them to all who as I will return when it?ˆ™s time to trade in and I have no desire to go anywhere else. Buyer beware!!

When I was new to Anchorage I made the mistake of purchasing from Haws. All I can say to anyone considering a vehicle from this place is to have a trusted mechanic inspect the vehicle thoroughly BEFORE you give away your money. My truck had major problems immediately after I purchased it, and I even bought the extended warranty which didn`t cover the problem of course (headgasket and rear diff gears), the POS ""s... view morealesman"" at Haws said I could try and trade it back in for a third of what I paid for it - this was 2 weeks later... I am still paying for that truck after selling for a loss making the repairs myself. These guys recycle LEMONS, patched together quick to make a buck. Local mechanics have told me the same thing. If your Hawsmobile is running good than consider yourself lucky! Ask these scammers about the Dodge Ram that was being sold as a 4x4 with no transfer case or front differential. You`ll save money and probably have less hassles with Craigslist.

I have purchased 4 cars from Mr. Haws over the last several years.
I reffer my friends and family to him and always hear a positive feedback. His customer service and good nature have always been a plus !
I have had questions , and service work done all to prefection !
Mr Haws cares about his customers and takes great pride in meeting everyones needs.

I feel that everyone has a different opinion , but to say he sales lemmons , or not to choose his service is a clear statement that the communication of your likes and dislikes were NOT discussed ,it`s not a fair game to play when you decide to write a review for everyone to see !

My over all review is that this business deserves more than what the two above people have rated him on.

I give him , and his business a ""5 Star"" rating !
Go see for yourself and ask for Phil , he`s always around .
He will shake your hand and make you a fair and honest deal .

Tried to work with them

One of the salesman was on his cell phone talking about illicit things. Our salesman was on some kind of tweak. RV mechanics work on their vehicles- they turned the check engine light off saying it was the airfilter. When we brought it to our own mechanic they found it was the thermostat. Phil Haws mechanic supposedly fixed ours but now it shoots out hot air constantly even with the dial turned to cold, AC, off.... view more..I wouldn`t bother with the lemons.

Horrible Experience

I went to Haws` on the off chance they had any cars for around $5000. They ignored every single one of my requirements. I asked multiple times for small cars, and they showed me nothing but SUVs and trucks, all at least $3000 over my price range. They were selling a `99 Tahoe for $15,000, when my friend had just bought the same SUV in the exact same condition for $5,000 from someone else.
