1979 Jeep CJ7 Renegade
304 rebuilt crate engine several years ago. 3 speed shift as it should Thank you for viewing my auction for a decent original paint 1979 CJ7 V8 Renegade. I hold a clear NC title in hand. This is a very straight forward what you see is what you get type of jeep. The pictures do not really make it look any better or any worse in appearance than in person. It does have some rust as shown in the pictures but I would not consider it rotted out or beyond repair. Frame is very solid. The driveline is solid and works as it. There are no drips on the floor under the jeep. (i do check to make sure it has oil). The tires are showing a little age but appear safe and have nearly new tread. Engine runs well with no noises or smoking. The carb is a little sluggish but nothing to prevent it from being driven. Lights and gauges could use some repair. Please no questions regarding if the Jeep will make it back to your location. I'm sure it probably will just fine but that's not up to me to decide. Low reserve as I look forward to an easy transaction on giving this great CJ7 a new home. Jeep will be sold as is where is. There is no warranty. The Jeep is in running driving condition as stated. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets surprisingly comprehensive update, new diesel power
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Traditionally, automotive journalists can be heard muttering something to the effect of "Geeze, it's about time!" whenever a vehicle's midcycle refresh is revealed. As we routinely see and drive new models many months before the public even claps eyes on them in showrooms - and then go on to tweeze apart their minutia in our daily writings - perhaps some impatience is to be expected. With so much exposure to a given vehicle, it's fair to say we tire of most cars and trucks far more quickly than the average consumer.
The alterations are handsome, if not subtle touches from the "If It Ain't Broke" school of design.
Which is why we're pleased to say "Oh, is it time for that already?" when it comes to the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The current WK2 Grand Cherokee hit the market in 2011 and climbed its way into our hearts with its rugged good looks, go-anywhere capability and surprising refinement. We're not yet tired of its appearance or performance, but even so, we're very glad to see Chrysler giving its flagship Jeep some attention, including a much-anticipated diesel powertrain option and some other economy-minded measures.
Jeep teases pair of Moab concepts early
Tue, 19 Mar 2013With the 47th annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari coming up at the end of this month, Jeep is preparing to roll out six new off-road-ready concept vehicles. The first two being teased are the Jeep Grand Cherokee "Trailhawk II" concept and the Jeep Wrangler "Slim," and while we have no information on either, we at least get an idea of what they'll look like.
We can't tell why this Wrangler is called Slim, but it has a nice black-and-red paint scheme with a serious off-roading front bumper and five-spoke beadlock wheels. There's even less we can figure out about the Grand Cherokee's Trailhawk II concept except that it appears to be painted up in the same Crusher Orange paint job as the recently introduced SRT Viper TA. We'll likely more of these as well as peeks at the other Moab concepts as we get closet to this year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari, which will be held March 23 through 31.

There are many reasons why an XJ-generation (or really any other) Jeep Cherokee doesn't make for a good drift machine. It's tall, it's four-wheel-drive... it's a Jeep, okay? But someone apparently forgot to tell that to this guy. Uploaded to LiveLeak, this video shows some poor schmuck who took his Cherokee to a (mostly) empty parking lot and tried to drift it. Needless to say, things didn't go quite as he planned, but they probably went exactly as you might have expected. Thankfully, nobody appears to have been hurt. Or at least, we assume so, since the guy apparently survived to put the video up online.
