1925 Ford Model T Depot Hack on 2040-cars
Englewood, Colorado, United States
Let me start by saying that this model t body was built in 1951 by York Body Corp in Pennsylvania. I purchased this vehicle from the family that had the body installed. They found this model t in 1951 and it had been stored since 1930 in a barn. I have a newspaper article that talks about it. That being said, I purchased approximately 3 years ago and I totally dis assembled the vehicle, refinished all the original wood, and metal hardware on body to a very high quality standard. I dis assembled chassy, rebuilt as needed, powder coated all parts, the engine had been rebuilt prior to me buying the car by a local model t expert, it has a high compression aluminum cyl head, and a larger aluminum intake manifold, still runs original coils, timer and magnito, it has a ruxtel rear end with standard gears, will wood disc brake system sold by texas t parts, has a new fuel tank and sediment bowl, electrical fuel shut off system, still runs original 6 volt system, no water pump, had radiator re done, driven this car in the mountains of Colorado and does not run hot, has all original sheet metal, repainted to a mirror finish, rear fenders have a couple flaws in them(not bad) car has all new wiring, new upholstery, comes with original tool box from the 30's found it new old stock, picinic basket, has new interior plus top, wood is 98% original on body, has tempered glass for windshield, I have owned alot of these model t's, this one is restored to a very high quality finish, you will not be disappointed. There is so much to tell about this car if any questions call Randy 303-903-2224

Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.
Amelia Island 2013: 50 years of the Ferrari-slaying Ford GT40
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Originally developed with the sole purpose of being a Ferrari rival to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT40 became a prominent racing machine in the 1960s in both Europe and the US. Not wanting to leave such an important car out of the fun, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance also took time out from its other celebrations to recognize the 50-year anniversary of the GT40.
Over its short lifespan, the GT40 was offered in a handful of configurations, but the classic short-tailed (Mk I and Mk II) bodystyles were well represented... especially in Gulf livery. James Glickenhaus (of Ferrari P4/5 fame) had his bright yellow Mk IV in the field, and there were several others in this bodystyle, including one that has seen plenty of time on the track judging by its chipped-up nose.
As a fitting statement for the car's lengthy racing history, GT40 Chassis Number 1075 won this year's Concours de Sport award. This car took home the checkered flag at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969, and racked up a total of six wins in just 11 races.
Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.
