Needs rear marker light bulbs, ground wire, the ignition switch is loose, the winshield water pump needs to be replaced, and the wiper bracket tightened, the rear engine seal needs to be replaced. The Engine is all original and in perfect running order but its time for a rebuild after 46 years...The inside door jams need to be painted and the decals which i have put on. Have a couple of spray bottles for touch ups of the same color which will be more than enough. I have all the inside door and hood decals as well.."

This is a very rare, all original three times painted yellow and red stripe GS350 with rear weight levelling shocks to give it a nicer look.  Peppy!!  Drives very well and will keep up with the best.  The only down fall is that she is going to set you back a little on gas!  High Octane is all it would take or it will let you know.  She is all original 4 barrel chrome carb cover and the heart is a V8 small block with matching number turbo 2 speed tranny.  Tires are new and so is the vinyl top.  The paint is new and only 6 month old.  Little bondo and fiberglass, the quarter panels have been replaced with steel quarter panels welded on with brass rods.  The rust spots have all be repaired with welds and will last until the next rotisserie years from now.  I enjoyed this car all summer and its time to make room for my next project.  I have looked after this GS350 for 8 years and now its time to let it go.   There hasn't been a day that someone has not seen me drive it and not say 'nice car'.

Changed the oil for the hell of it about 4 times already.  Tranny oil and filter done as well, New GoodRich tires.

Original engine, tranny, 4 bar carb, inside smells like its 46 years old - you know that old car smell only a mechanic can love!!  Has seat covers on original seats.

Fun car.  Lots of compliments at show and shines.

Buick struggling to keep up with Encore demand

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

Buick is having a hard time keeping up with demand for its all-new Encore mini-CUV, according to a report from Automotive News. The stylish, lifted five-door went on sale in January, but dealers have reported that supplies have dwindled after the initial high demand, taking the proverbial "wind out of the sails."
General Motors admits that it underestimated demand for the diminutive Buick, which is built in Korea and sold as the Opel Mokka in Europe, where it's also seen success. Buick spokesperson Nick Richards told AN, "We increased production, so there have been a lot more landing within the last month."
Buick has done a booming business, though, even with its limited supply of Encores. With over 12,000 units sold in the first half of 2013, the small CUV is on pace to annihilate industry analysts' estimates, which predicted no more than 18,500 units in 2013. We're not entirely surprised. When we first drove the Encore late last year, Autoblog professed that we had no idea how sales would turn out, as the Encore wasn't really entering into an established segment. Even so, wefound a surprising amount to like in the Encore, enough that we "wouldn't bet against it" being a major success.

GM to offer 2 years free maintance on most 2014 models

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

A day after Ford announced it was scaling back the complimentary maintenance program for its Lincoln brand, General Motors has gone in the completely opposite direction, offering most of its 2014 lineup with free maintenance. Since 2011, Cadillac models have all come with a four-year/50,000-mile complimentary maintenance program, but Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles will now come standard with free maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles for the 2014 model year.
The program will give vehicle owners and lessees free oil changes, tire rotations and 27-point inspections following the recommended maintenance schedule laid out in each vehicle's owner's manual. We contacted GM to see which vehicles were eligible for the program, and a spokesperson got back to us with the following comment:
"All 2014 models are eligible, it's just that the included services vary by model, e.g., Spark EV would not need oil changes, Corvettes don't recommend tire rotations."

OnStar RemoteLink mobile app coming standard on all new GM vehicles

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

As an evolution and improvement of its OnStar technology, General Motors has announced that it will be expanding the RemoteLink Mobile App on most 2014 model year Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. The new, aptly named RemoteLink Key Fob Services will allow users to remotely operate all of the same systems as the car's key fob, including locking and unlocking the doors and remote starting (on vehicles equipped with a factory remote starter) using a smartphone.
These Key Fob Services will be free for five years - starting from the vehicle's delivery date - but the full suite of RemoteLink features will continue to be offered only with a subscription (trial or paid). These premium features include contacting a live adviser, getting turn-by-turn directions and remotely monitoring the vehicle's diagnostic systems.
