1966 Buick Wildcat Conv. True Barn Find on 2040-cars

You are looking at a 1966 Buick Wildcat Convertible with Auto trans and V-8 engine that was restored years ago. The restoration was started by a older gentleman about 8-9 years ago but not finished. Car has new brakes, wheel cylinders, brake lines, master cylinder, gas lines, dual alumacoat exhaust. Also has new inside rugs and front seat covers. Have rear seat but it has to recovered. Needs a new top but top mechanism works okay. I believe I have all the outside chrome pieces for this car. Car has no rust anyplace. Car paint job needs to be buffed out or possibly might have to be repainted, I am not sure of which. Cars runs and moves but motor has a tinny noise in it which sounds to me like it might be flywheel shield hitting but I am not sure. It is to bad the old gentleman did not finish this old Buick, this car is to good not to be finished. I don't believe that it would take a lot of time or a lot of money to finish this old Buick. I have described this car to the best of my ability.

GM recalling 1.5M cars in China for faulty bracket
Fri, 27 Dec 2013General Motors and its Chinese partners have announced their second recall in the People's Republic this year, following a 2,653-unit recall of the Cadillac SRX earlier this year. This latest recall affects nearly 1.5 million cars built between 2006 and 2012. It's not explicitly stated, but as there's no movement from the US NHTSA, we suspect that the cars in question were all Chinese-built rather than imports.
The vast majority of the affected vehicles are Buick Excelles (pictured), with 1.2 million units being recalled over a faulty bracket that's meant to secure the fuel pump. The Excelles in question were built between 2006 and 2012, while an additional 250,000 Chevrolet Sail superminis, built between April 2009 and October 2011, are being recalled for a similar reason.
According to the PRC's Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the faulty bracket could crack and potentially cause a fuel leak.

GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
