1973 Triumph TR6, ground up professional restoration
by Triumphs Only with the best quality components to better then new standards
while keeping mostly to originality. Last year TR6 without the large 5mph
rubber bumpers and added emissions. Burgundy
with New Tan interior. Rebuilt engine, rebuilt 4 speed transmission (no
overdrive), rebuilt differential, rebuilt suspension, all electrical serviced
and working properly along with everything else! This car was personally built for
myself (I work at Triumphs Only) over the last several years. 88 miles since it
was recently completed, road tested and now reluctantly selling it as plans have changed.
The car chosen was never in a wreck, perfectly
straight body, chassis and 100% rust free. The car was completely disassembled,
reassembled with every replaceable part either new, rebuilt or receiving
attention to detail and fit properly. Complete bare metal chassis and body
respray inside out using only the finest PPG paint and materials. Painted close
to the factory color of Damson Red (factory code 17). Panels were all perfectly
aligned prior (see pictures), paint recently has been color sanded and buffed
to a mirror like finish, with no dents, dings, scratches or chips(minor paint chips have all been touched up). Proper undercoating under the rocker chrome trim and Semi
gloss rear panel painted as per original. All new O.E.M New Tan(factory code 33)interior
panels, seat covers, seat foam, diaphragms, new OEM style sun visors. Black Wilton wool carpeting, personally
selected Prestige Autowood show quality high gloss walnut burl veneer dash
board, all new vinyl dash pads, new center console pad with uncut radio hole.
Some gauges rebuilt, all gauge outer rings had the partial flat black removed
so their all chrome. Valve cover, accelerator linkage, hood stay rod and engine
mounting brackets were chromed. Black Stayfast canvass convertible top, zip out
rear window, new webbing, seals with original perfect condition original factory black top cover. New trunk panels with spare tire cover panel.
Drive train fully rebuilt, Rebuilt suspension including welding in front lower A arm reinforcement plates, upgraded upper A arm polyurethane bushings, NOS front Armstrong shocks, new ball joints, new tie rod ends, new sway bar bushings and brackets, Hardy Spicer U Joints, rebuilt rear Armstrong shocks. Monza exhaust system. Every electrical component works as per original(except seat belt warning), all proper original Lucas lenses, rebuilt alternator, new battery, OEM style cables and hold down brackets. Tri-Plex windshield with no chips or cracks, new seal and plastic chrome surround. Rebuilt carbs, relined fuel tank, Re cored radiator, OEM style green cooling hoses, new water pump, new heater valve and cables. New brake and clutch hydralics; new brake and clutch master cylinders, new wheel cylinders, new brake hoses, rebuilt front brake calipers. New Borg and Beck clutch, new clutch master and slave cylinders. All new weather seals and door furflex. This car runs and drives perfectly, very tight, not one single squeak or rattle. Windows roll up perfectly, all panels open and close properly, canvass convertible top goes up or down effortlessly. Stock steel rims straightened and painted, new chrome trim rings with very low mileage Pirelli P4000 tires. The car was photographed without the windshield wipers on, the proper flat black wiper arms and blades are included along with spare wheel and tire, original jack and handle, service manual, extra paint and oil filter. The interiour rear view mirror, each front fender British Leyland emblom and under hood emmission stickers are not on the car and will be done prior to delivery.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
