Our Prius has a dark gray exterior and light gray (leather) inside.  Rubber floormats protect the front carpet.  The car is in excellent condition.  No dings or dents.  The car has GPS, Bluetooth, 6CD changer with JBL speakers, etc.  Many accessories can be activated by voice commands.  This Prius has all the bells and whistles except sunroof.  We consistently get 48+ MPG in the winter and 52+ MPG in summer.   All owners manuals are included with the car.  The standard cargo cover is included, but not seen in the photos.

A complete 25,000 service was just performed at the dealership.  The 2009 Prius recently had two minor recalls.  Both recalls have been completed.  The small 12v auxiliary battery used for startup is new.  Tires are brand new.  Even the battery in the key fob is new!

What's wrong with the car?  The outside temperature indicator does not work. We have only one key, but I purchased another one which is ready to be programmed by a dealer.

We bought this 2009 Prius two years ago with 17,000 miles on it.  It has a salvage title because of a front end incident. The repair work was done by a shop in Charlotte that does this type of work exclusively. (The shop that repaired this car often sells on eBay and has a 100% positive feedback rating.)

We have zero complaints with the car.  The finish is excellent.   The car is always garaged.  We are selling because we have too many vehicles and my wife prefers our old Scion XA!.  Contact us if there are any further question or to request additional photos.

Thanks for looking!

Toyota Camry lineup gets interior and tech updates one year in

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When it debuted last year, the Toyota Camry came in for some criticism over its interior, most centered on material choices - both in quality (not enough) and variety (too much). Thus, Toyota has responded after just one model year, updating both materials and features on its gas-powered and hybrid family sedans for 2013.
The LE version appeared to get the lion's share of the improvements. Specifically, the LE is getting "soft-touch" door materials as well as armrests that match the rest of the interior color (instead of being black). The LE model also gets Toyota's six-inch display screen that helps folks get a better gander at the car's energy usage and fuel economy, among other things. Other changes include adding cross-traffic alert for models equipped with blind spot monitoring
Toyota introduced its latest version of the Camry and Camry Hybrid in the fall of 2011 as a 2012 model. Sales have been solid, and in particular, the Camry Hybrid has improved its fortunes, bumping its US sales almost fivefold to more than 45,000 units. So far in 2013, the latter has carried over much of that momentum, boosting January 2013 sales from a year earlier by 81 percent to 3,826 units.

Toyota C-HR hybrid crossover coupe concept leak ahead of Paris

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Last week, Toyota previewed an upcoming concept called the C-HR and promised it would debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. It didn't say much more or give us anything beyond a silhouette and the shape of the lights, but here we have the first images of the finalized form.
The C-HR envisions a hybrid crossover coupe with angular styling that looks ready to take on the Nissan Juke. It's far sportier than a RAV4, and looks closer to how we'd imagine the next-generation Scion FR-S would look like if it were riding on a jacked-up suspension - with some show car elements thrown in for good measure, like a gloating roof, radical lighting and the usual absence of door handles and usable wing mirrors.
Of course, this being a Toyota concept, it packs a hybrid powertrain, although specifications did not leak out along with the images. Overall the form looks pretty striking, if decidedly unsubtle. We'll look forward to bringing you more as the Paris show rapidly approaches.

Who sold the most small/midsize pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates that, too

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

PickupTrucks.com has taken another look at the sales of its favorite vehicle bodystyle as part of an ongoing series. According to registration data from R.L. Polk, the Toyota Tacoma easily took the crown as America's best-selling mid-sized pickup, with 133,477 units rolling into new homes in 2012. For comparison, the second-place Nissan Frontier only saw 50,566 registrations.
We feel compelled to point out that before Ford pulled the plug on its ancient Ranger, the company was moving some 75,000 units per year. That number had shriveled to 15,662 by 2012, which was still enough to surpass the Honda Ridgeline. Interestingly enough, one person brought home a brand-new Hummer H3T as well. But mid-sized trucks represent only a fraction of total pickup sales. Dealers sold a total of 241,471 midsizers last year compared to 988,326 half-tons.
That segment was dominated by General Motors with 533,814 sales followed by Ford at 478,204. Ram Trucks trailed behind in third with 241,204 units with Toyota close behind at 229,769. Nissan, meanwhile, remains a distant fifth. Head over to PickupTrucks.com for a closer look at the breakdown in each segment.
