1980 FY40 Land Cruiser in original unmolested condition. This has the original 2F engine, and factory 4 Speed transmission. Mileage is 134,560. This FJ40 has had two owners since new, and includes original owners manual, and factory tool kit.

This Land Cruiser starts right up, idles great, and runs and drives very good. Brakes are all operational, as is the clutch. All gauges work, as do signals, headlights, tail lights, horn, interior lights and heater fan. Seats are in very good original condition. Two rear jump seats are in great shape.

The only mechanical issue is a leaky exhaust manifold, or manifold gasket. Exhaust itself is in very good shape. Engine runs strong with no abnormal noises or oil leaks. The engine doesn't smoke at all. I have most of the receipts going back to the early 1990's. A valve job and new head was installed many years ago.

This truck drives exceptionally well, it goes down the road straight, doesn't pull left or right and stops nicely. The four wheel drive system operates as it should.

This truck has been driven 5000 miles in the last 10 years, mostly on a large estate where it was kept. It has been kept inside for the last 15 years, and professionally maintained. There is the typical rust in the back under the doors, but the rear floor is excellent. The frame is solid, as is gas tank, and most everything else underneath. I am including the five original white factory wheels. Please look at all the detailed pictures.

2014 Toyota 4Runner

I recently took the redesigned 2014 Toyota 4Runner for a muddy romp in Pennsylvania. While the mechanical bits and pieces beneath the body-on-frame SUV trudge forward into the new model year with very few tweaks, the truck "receives a rugged new exterior design and interior refinements that add comfort and convenience without sacrificing its hallmark performance capability and excellent value," says the automaker.
A quick visual scan of the 4Runner reveals a new front end with a more "aggressive" and "muscular" appearance (yes, I'm quoting Toyota) that includes new headlights, grille and hood scoop. A roof rack is now standard across all trims, too. While SR5 and Trail grades have a bland color-keyed grille insert that gives the face a monochromatic appearance, the range-topping Limited (shown above and in our gallery) snarls with a silver-plated chin that gives it a bit more character.
New soft-touch surfaces within the cabin provide a more upscale environment and a bright new Optitron instrument panel improves readability and functionality. As before, the SR5 and Trail models arrive with fabric upholstery or optional Softex seats (synthetic leather). Genuine hides are reserved for the Limited trim, which is also fitted with Toyota's unique X-REAS (X-Relative Absorber System) automatic suspension system as standard equipment.

Hi-po Toyota GT86 to get KERS?

We happen to like the Toyota GT86 - and, it of course goes without saying that the same applies to the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S, as well - just the way it is. Yes, that includes the standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine and its 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm.
That said, a little extra power never hurt anybody, right?
The most obvious way to add some punch to the GT86 would be with a turbocharger, and that has indeed long been rumored for an STI version of the BRZ. Will Toyota follow suit? According to Top Gear, the answer is no. Says GT86 chief engineer Tetsuya Tada, "I think 300bhp with a turbo and 200g/km of CO2 would be tasteless in this day and age. And a turbo would mean the loss of the GT86's uniqueness." Perhaps a bit harsh, but there you go.
