Up for sale is my 1978 FJ45 long bed Land Cruiser pickup: 53,000 original miles, with power steering and air conditioner. All original, complete frame off restoration less than a year ago. No expense spared. Beautiful 45 inside and out.
Stock 2F inline 6 with 53,000 original miles, runs excellent, the 4 speed manual trans, shifts smootly and without effort. Unfortunately, I was not intending to sell this rig and do not have engine compartment photos. I can take them when I arrive back in the states the end of this month. It is stock, and super clean, just like the rest of the vehicle.
Absolutely no rust issues, period. The body, floors, bed, frame, axles, hubs, tailgate, cab, battery tray, etc. are completely rust free.
The FJ45 runs like a top. 53,000 original miles. This truck has been a garage queen its entire life. I have the original manual with original owners name date purchased (Sept 78'), the original title, and the original insurance card for the FJ45 from 1978.
I will let the photographs do the talking. This is "the" nicest Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 anywhere. It is correct in every way. Runs beautifully, drives excellent, and has some nice extras.

2014 Toyota Corolla coming Thursday, now with LED headlamps
Tue, 04 Jun 2013Here's what we know about the redesigned 2014 Toyota Corolla: It will have "aggressive new styling" with "available seventeen-inch alloy wheels" an "available touch screen audio" system and "available LED headlights."
We know all of this because Toyota has seen fit to release a small assortment of teaser images of the 2014 Corolla, with those descriptions attached. The latest to hit the web shows LED lighting clusters, which, to Toyota's credit, don't appear to merely mimic designs already seen in the automotive world.
We should point out that the headlights do share a link to the units seen on the Furia Concept that was supposed to foreshadow the next Corolla, though the most interesting bits - namely the honeycomb inner pattern - have been chucked while the somewhat trapezoidal main units remain intact.
Toyota Camry Dragster takes the phrase 'sleeper' to its logical extreme [w/video]
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Sometimes, looks can be deceiving. This is certainly one of those times, as Toyota successfully trolled the entirety of the media corps at the 2014 SEMA Show by rolling an innocent-looking Camry onto the floor... only to lift literally the entirety of its body to reveal an 850-horsepower, tube-framed dragster. Well, we have been asking for a more driver-oriented Toyota.
While it's designed to go fast in a straight line, the origin of the Camry Dragster's parts might be surprising. The 5.7-liter V8 engine, transmission, rear axle and electronics were plucked from the Toyota Tundra pickup. Toyota Racing Development donated a supercharger, while a wet-nitrous-injection system was also tacked on for that little extra something. Those goodies will help propel this anonymous looking monster through the quarter mile in just 9.8 seconds.
"This is the most extreme build we've ever unveiled at SEMA," said Toyota's motorsports chief Steve Appelbaum said in a statement. "The transformation from seemingly stock Camry to full-blown racecar just shocks the senses. Chuck Wade and the team at Motorsports Technical Center did a truly spectacular job executing the vision of this project."
Incoming Toyota chairman wants a Supra successor
Fri, 14 Jun 2013We'd venture to guess that in recent years, there have probably been almost as many rumors swirling about a Toyota Supra successor than there have been for a mid-engine Corvette. (Case in point: the speculative renderings we came across a few years ago, pictured above.) While we don't expect the Corvette's recipe to change drastically any time soon, it looks like a Supra - or more appropriately a Supra-like car - could be closer than we think.
First, there was an announcement of a BMW-Toyota joint venture. Said venture would, among other things, "Set up a feasibility study to define a joint platform concept for a mid-size sports vehicle."
Upping chances even further, a new Automotive News report claims that incoming Toyota chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada wants a vehicle "comparable" to the Supra. Clearly there are a lot of parties that want a new Supra to happen - to say nothing of enthusiasts - but Uchiyamada might be just the guy to get it done. None of this is proof positive of an impending Supra, to be sure, but winds do seem favorable.
