I have a 1988 Toyota Camry All-Trac 4x4 5 speed manual for sale
Bought this car in Colorado and had it shipped here to use as a daily/project car. But unfortunatley I got another car I have to pay to get it back up and going. I was going to fix it up and restore a rare piece of toyota engineering. This car has the same drivetrain as the celica all trac turbo ST165, ST185, ST205 chassis.
Cons:
It got 204,000 miles on it
Engine runs, but needs a rebuild. leaks and burns oil. Also has this idle surge issue thats intermitted. Or you swap any engine from a MR2, celica, solara or even the v6 camry Transmission pops out of 5th gear, you have to hold the gear shifter in 5th to use it.
Interior is okay 7/10 driver seat is roughed up.
Body has rust on the body and surface in the trunk and trim missing. the rust is repairable, and some of missing is coming with the car.

Pros:
The 4x4 works great with a simply on/off switch near on the dash.
Gets 24 to 30 mpg
Urethane filled motor mounts, Minimum engine movement. New rear brakes. New front control arm and sway bar bushings
Brand new stereo system with Aux plugin for mp3, I still have the orginal one that still works
Registered in Colorado tags good until next January
Comes with a spare tire
Clean title

NADA value the car anywhere between $2,500 to over $5,000

If I find someone who offers me a better price for the car outside of I will end the auction before its ending term.

Toyota vows to fix poor Camry crash test result that irked Consumer Reports

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Many Toyota vehicles haven't been performing well in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) small overlap frontal crash test, and the Camry is one of them. The 2012 and 2013 Camry both received "Poor" ratings, IIHS' lowest rating, in the test, which spurred Consumer Reports to take the car off its "Recommended" list. In response to the low ratings in the small overlap frontal test, and in a bid to maintain its best-seller status, Toyota will make changes to the Camry to improve its IIHS safety rating and to enhance its design, The Detroit News reports.
The Camry performed well in the moderate overlap frontal, side, roof strength and head restraints and seats crash tests, receiving "Good" ratings, IIHS' highest rating, in all four tests. That was enough for IIHS to award it a Top Safety Pick rating, just not TSP+.
Bill Fay, head of Toyota's US division, reportedly says, "It's still a five-star car. It still does very well in all the IIHS tests. It did not in [the small overlap frontal crash test], and we're busy making the necessary adjustments so that we can address that."

Toyota profits up 23% on high US sales, despite mounting legal costs

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Toyota earned $9.3 billion in net income in the financial year that ends next month. The number beats earlier forecasts and marks a five-year high for the automaker, with both operating income and revenue up by 9.5 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively. Toyota saw quarterly profit enjoy a year-on-year jump of 23.4 percent, with the manufacturer earning more than $1 billion between October and December 2012. The good news comes in spite of the fact that the Japanese automaker actually endured an operating loss in North America, due in part to legal fees.
Toyota is set to pay more than $1 billion to owners who claim their vehicles decreased in value as a result of the company's recent spate of recalls. Even so, all three of the automaker's brands enjoyed a 13.5 percent sales increase in the US in the last quarter, beating the industry average. Toyota faltered in Europe, however, where it earned $99 million in operating profit last year, compared to $111 million in 2011. You can take a closer look at the company's full press release below for more information.

2014 Toyota Camry to get 'significant' attention?

Sun, 24 Nov 2013

With competition from Ford, Chevrolet, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda and Nissan mounting, Toyota is getting set to unveil a refreshed version of its Camry sedan a mere two years after it was fully redesigned.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Toyota's move to freshen the still young Camry comes as it seeks to retain its US sales crown in the midsize segment. That desperation has lead to increased incentives and fleet sales in a bid to keep its title, all while trying to keep pace with a slew of very competent competitors.
"It's safe to say we'll be doing something with it," Bill Fay, group vice president of the Toyota brand in the US, told Bloomberg during last week's LA Auto Show. "We'll be paying significant attention to Camry next year."
