Up for bidding / sale my very well cared for  1987  Suzuki samurai jx 4x4 . This Suzuki is in extremely good shape from inside and out and was only used during the summer months as a tow behind vehicle behind the motorhome. Has always been stored indoors so the exterior and interior are in amazing condition !!! Without a question one of the nicest samurais I have seen , I would consider this a time capsule considering its 100  %rust free  and a must see to fully appreciate .  Has 89,000 original miles , 2nd owner vehicle and is Accident free and a Clean California title in hand .

Was used stricktly as a tow vehicle so most miles are from being flat towed across the states.  Comes with removable tow bar so you can tow this Suzuki samurai with you anywhere you would like.  These make excellent tow behind vehicles since they are so light yet solid and simple vehicles that can go just about anywhere.

Never abused or taken off road to say the least this has always been elderly owned . The 4x4 works great and engages and disengages without a hitch . This is mechanically sound to say the least and does not need a thing . This is ready to drive with peace of mind.  No leaks or problems of any kind. Runs with the best of them and has a brand new factory carburetor . !!! Drive train is quiet and the clutch and transmission shift smoothly . Starts up right away and idles at 800 rpm very smoothly . Just passed smog as well.

- Stereo ( (in glove box )works perfectly )

-New tires and wheels

Suzuki previews new S-Cross compact CUV ahead of Paris debut

Fri, 10 Aug 2012

Despite having one heck of a lackluster presence here in the United States, Suzuki still manages to do well in other markets. That in mind, the automaker continually releases new products and concept cars at international auto shows that aren't destined for U.S. consumption, but this might not be one of those times.
The aging SX4 crossover is in need of replacement, and if Suzuki is still committed to selling passenger cars in the States, something fresh like this S-Cross concept could be just the ticket. Suzuki has, after all, confirmed that the S-Cross will eventually make its way into production.
We have no other details to divulge about the S-Cross, except that it's a small crossover concept and that it will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. Suzuki says that the S-Cross has a "Emotion x Quality x Aerodynamics" design theme that uses "distinctive dynamic lines that start on the front bumper, sweep across the doors, and continue to the rear of the body." No offense, Suzuki, but we've heard that before.

American Suzuki gets $100M in financing to go out of business... buy more cars?

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC), which declared bankruptcy in early November, has been approved by the courts for up to $100 million in debtor-in-possession financing to enable it to shutter its US car business. ASMC had received a $45 million loan from the Japanese parent company, Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC), last month in order to make repayment deals with its franchise dealers. At the same time, ASMC was awaiting final court approval of this larger loan.
Out of the newly approved funds, $50 million can be used for operations, and oddly, the other $50 million can be put toward purchases of new inventory from SMC. That's right, even as existing inventory was headed for a smooth exit with the help of incentives, customer demand for orphan Suzuki models is so strong - last month's sales were up 22 percent compared to 2011 - that ASMC plans to purchase 2,500 additional cars from SMC that were built after the bankruptcy announcement. Good news for the owners of those vehicles: the top 50 dealers, representing more than 98 percent of ASMC sales, will become parts and services centers.
The press release below has more information. Unlike its recent tenure here, the end of Suzuki cars in the US looks like it's going rather well.

Suzuki Chapter 11 bankruptcy plans approved by US court

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

It's pretty much a done-deal now, folks. A US bankruptcy judge has approved Suzuki's plans to wind down its operations in the States. As part of Suzuki's Chapter 11 proceedings, its automotive unit will cease to exist in the US, leaving the motorcycle, ATV and marine units to function as Suzuki Motor of America.
It's not clear how many vehicles are left on the 219 remaining Suzuki dealership lots - the company reported sales of 1,764 in February - but the automaker has assured customers that warranty service and parts will remain available. Suzuki made an investment of $45 million to ensure its past and current customers aren't completely left in repair-work limbo.
Check out the complete announcement from Suzuki below for more information, and please join us in mourning the loss of the Kizashi sedan and SX4 hatch, two vehicles we are legitimately going to miss when this whole sordid affair is done and over with.
