CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED* with a 12/12 WARRANTY included at this price! Get the OPTIONS you'll love. And with the PROTECTION you deserve; a Certified Pre-Owned comprehensive** limited WARRANTY for 12 month or 12,000 miles, included at this price! RARE, RARE, RARE!!! You know how rare a BAJA is, now consider how rare a TURBO w LEATHER is, and then add in how rare a 10 year old car with only 72, 500 miles is! According to Cars.com, there are only 10 Turbo BAJAs with under 100k available for sale in the whole US of A! And I dare say that very few will be in the fantastic condition this car is in. Certainly NONE have the 12/12 CPO Warranty that you will get in the purchase price of this car. And personally, I think the single tone SILVER metallic paint combined with the sharp two-tone Grey interior is by far the best color combo as well (and there is only one other like that).

But rarity alone does not mean that this is the right car or the right price. You have to decide that for yourself, but you MUST SEE (or examine the pictures very carefully) it to make that decision. I've rarely (there's that word again) seen such perfect paint on a 5 year old car, must less a 10 year old one. So you know its been well kept and never wrecked. To qualify for the CPO Warranty, it had to pass a rigorous 125 point safety and reliability inspection and it did so with flying colors, needing little more than the mandatory fluid and filter changes. The engine is exceptionally smooth and free of any leaks. The turbo spools up quickly and propels the car with surprising efficiency, netting 24MPG along the way! There are no fluid leaks anywhere and the transmission and differentials work flawlessly (and, of course, among other items, they are covered by the warranty, as is the turbo and all seals and gaskets). The Dunlop tires are 80% up and the brakes are even newer! Like I said; a RARE car in RARE condition. If you are an out-of town purchaser, we strongly encourage and will cooperate fully with getting you a Pre-Sale Inspection at a local independent garage of your choosing or at the franchise dealership. We will also extend our 3 day return policy to you, though you will be responsible for return shipping. If you require further photo or video documentation to make your decision, let us know and we will oblige, including an undercarriage examination on our shop's lift.

But if you have been shopping BAJAs you know that the right car, especially a super LOW MILES full spec car with a NATIONAL WARRANTY, will move very quickly, so..why wait? Please plan a visit to our neighborhood-oriented dealership conveniently located at 245 S Main St (Hwy 9) in Downtown Alpharetta just 1 block South of Old Milton (Hwy 120). We promise straight talk in language you’ll understand and the simple courtesy of no silly games. Please give us a call at 770-667-5280 and ask for Mike or Jay. Hope to see you soon!

Toyota GT86 convertible on 'indefinite hold'

Sat, 05 Oct 2013

Bad news, sportscar fans. According to a new report from What Car?, Toyota has cancelled plans to produce a GT86 convertible, a model based on the FT-86 Open Concept that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. In truth, Toyota never actually confirmed it would produce the budget-friendly droptop in the first place, but rumors have been flying since last year and Toyota reportedly showed its embattled Scion dealers a FR-S version of the convertible in August. Presumably, this means that a lidless variant of the Subaru BRZ is not in the cards, either.
The reason for the move is unknown, though What Car? reports "one possible cause is weight; Toyota did say that further work would be required on rigidity before the convertible could be launched, and that could have added extra bulk that conflict with the regular GT86's ethos of light weight and agile handling." It doesn't look like that work will happen anytime soon, as "sources now say that the car has now been delayed indefinitely, with no place in Toyota's product plan in either 2014 or 2015." Still holding out hope? What Car? says the project could be "fast-tracked" if management decides it wants to reboot the program down the road.

Subaru Viziv Evolution Concept looks strangely familiar

Thu, 21 Nov 2013

The Tokyo Motor Show has proven to be far deeper and more interesting in 2013 than it has been in recent years, surely a trailing indicator of the revived auto industry in Japan and throughout the world. Still, we have seen a few concept cars that have been nearly 'recycled' from shows earlier in the season.
This Subaru Viziv Evolution concept is a case in point - it looks not unlike the Viziv Concept that the company hauled over to the Geneva Motor Show in March of this year. What gives?
Well, the original Viziv wrapped its sexy crossover-coupe bodywork around a powertrain composed of a 2.0-liter diesel engine and three electric motors, two of which powered the two rear wheels (another trendy hybrid setup). This new "Evolution" of the Viziv is not dissimilar from its progenitor, swapping in a small displacement gasoline-powered engine for the diesel unit. All of this is based on reports out of Tokyo, mind you, as official information on the car is scarce at the moment.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."
