2001 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Convertible 3.4l Arctic Silver Black Leather on 2040-cars
Santa Barbara, California, United States
This is a California one-owner (me) 2001 Porsche Carrera Cab that has always been garaged and impeccably serviced. The oil has been changed every 5.000 miles and all major services performed when they were supposed to be. Driven roughly 6,000 miles a year. Everything is in excellent working order. Tight and smooth runner! A gorgeous car!!!
This car was purchased at Rusnak in Pasadena, CA and has been based and garaged in Santa Barbara, CA throughout its history. About three years ago the left (driver's side) rear fender, wheel and corner of the rear bumper were scraped by a passing auto (not hit as such ... no real impact). All brand new factory parts were installed (fender, wheel, bumper) and factory identical attachment was performed by Coachcraft of Fillmore, CA. Paint color and orange peel match perfection. Undetectable. Only cosmetic mentionable is a scratch to the convertible top. As tops go, it is 99 percent. This includes a beautifully maintained CLEAR rear window. I have all receipts, the original key sets and window sticker. 6 Cyl 3.4 Liter 300 HP Water Cooled Engine 6-Speed Manual Transmission Arctic Silver Metallic Black Full Leather Interior w/ Black Deviant Stitching Porsche 6-CD Player Heated Front Seats 18" Lt Alloy Wheels - Turbo Look Litronic Headlights Wheel Caps w/ Colored Crest Rear Carrera Script Delete A deposit of $500 is required from the buyer upon purchase. |

Watch Carrera Cup driver Connor de Phillippi's first lap of the N"urburgring
Thu, 23 May 2013American race driver Connor de Phillippi was recently added to the roster of Porsche Juniors, the arm of Porsche's factory racing program that develops new talent. The 20-year-old is contesting the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland series with FÖRCH Racing by Lukas Motorsport, and last weekend, he raced the series round at the Nürburgring. Starting 15th on the grid, de Phillippi would cross the line in ninth out of 32 finishers.
Courtesy of his in-car camera, you can watch his entire first lap in the video below - there's no music added, just engine whine during nine minutes of crests, turns, bumpy straights and that wicked Carousel. Enjoy.
Porsche 911 RSR stops just long enough to have its photo taken
Tue, 04 Mar 2014When it comes to Porsche and its rapidly escalating endurance racing program, all eyes may be on the new 919 Hybrid - and with good reason: that's the vehicle with which Porsche will be challenging the likes of Audi and Toyota for wins in the top-tier LMP1 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship and at Le Mans. But it's the 911 RSR that does and will continue to form the backbone of the factory's effort.
The 470-horsepower racing version of the road-going 911 took a one-two finish in its class at Le Mans last year, and also won its class at the Daytona 24 this past January as well. This year Porsche will field two of them in the WEC, another two in the United SportsCar Championship here in the US and will sell countless more to customer racing teams that will undoubtedly continue to rack up trophies in racing series around the world. This, then, might be a unique chance to see one standing still. Check it out in our gallery of live images above from the Geneva Motor Show.
Porsche celebrates 5M Facebook fans with crowdsourced one-off 911
Mon, 05 Aug 2013Porsche's Facebook fan base appears to be accelerating as quickly as the cars it builds. The German automaker has just unveiled a special 911 Carrera 4S designed with crowdsourced input as a way to thank its five million Facebook fans.
The 911 features special Aquablaumetallic paint from Porsche Exclusive, contrasting 20-inch white Carrera S wheels and pinstriping, along with an aero package including a fixed rear wing. Inside, there are unique backlit sill plates and the obligatory dashboard engraving that says "Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans."
As a way to turn at least one virtual thumbs up into its more meaningful physical-world equivalent, Porsche is holding a contest to win the chance to drive the car at Britain's Silverstone racetrack - and bring a friend - and nine lucky runners-up will win 1:43-scale models of the 911. If you want to enter the contest, click here.
