Pro Street 1980 Trans Am on 2040-cars
Omaha, Nebraska, United States
I have a 1980 pontaic trans am that I was going to restore to show, well after getting it home and trying to work on it I realize my garage sucks and I don't have the space to do much! so here it is for sale ,we all have a good idea what it cost to do this to a car so be real if you try to make me a offer!this car painted and interior redone a bit would be a 30k car! to start I was told it has a 468 with 6k miles and from driving the car I would say its no lie! this thing will boil them tires! if you want I have a few videos to share if you email me I can send them, tranny is a turbo 400 with a 4000 stall and a hurst shifter with all the lock outs.exhaust looks to be fairly new flowmasters up front and small mufflers by the back ! its still loud and runs great! this was not cheap exhaust! rear end is a narrowed 9 inch ford with posi I was told the gears are 373 but haven't checked.wheels are cragar and tiers on the rear are 31 18.50 mickey thompsons .body has some blemishes but looks nice from 20ft .I recommend paint! interior is stock up front with autometer gauges in the dash and the rear has the wheel tubs and back carpeted to match the front, also has a c/d player and 6x9 speakes ...this is a great car to cruise and doesn't over heat! I have a very fair reserve on this and I know if I keep it till summer I will get more !

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes
Mon, 31 Mar 2014When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
