1994 Pontiac Trans Am 25th Anniversary Edition Gt on 2040-cars
Burlington, Wisconsin, United States
Very nice collectable T-Top Trans Am. Only 1500 ever produced. Its power plant is the legendary LT-1 V-8 linked with 4spd auto transmission. Car is very clean with only 63,500 miles. All stock, except K&N air filter and Corsa exhaust. Issues car has which are very minor....Is radio buttons on steering wheel are not working and I have never looked into why. Car had previously had a locking gas cap in which key was lost and had to be removed. Sometimes now with regular cap small amount of gas can spill out when car is full and under rapid acceleration, most times just have to tighten cap periodically when car is full to remedy the problem. Once under 3/4 tank, never a problem. Very small nickel size tear in drivers seat(very common in this car) otherwise interior is in near perfect shape. Only other issue is car can leave dime size drip of oil periodically after driven again nothing I have ever looked into as its not a real problem at all. This car can be purchased with perfect confidence that your buying a very nice car. I believe I am the 3rd owner. Older gentleman I purchased from only drove car 1000 miles in two years he owned it. I have owed it for 2 years as well and have only driven 1000 miles as well. I love the car, but at this point in my life this is the not the car for me. Its too collectable and nice to be parked in my garage with young kids and bicycles and with them I never have time to enjoy the car. Cash only and buyer is responsible for pickup.

Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally
Fri, 13 Jun 2014The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.
Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.
