(((((NO-RESERVE Auction))))) NADA values this car at just over $5,000.00, I am starting it out at only $3,500.00 and it will only be listed ONCE.  Otherwise it will be sold to a local used-car dealer for the opening bid of $3,500.  This is the lowest price for a RUNNING 4th Gen Trans Am in MINT condition ever on Ebay!!!                                                       1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in MINT condition, garage kept, NON-smoker, 1-owner, NEVER wrecked, 100% ORIGINAL paint with 120,767 original miles.  I want to start out by saying, by driving it and looking at it, if I told you this car had ONLY 20,767 miles, you would BELIEVE it!!!  It is in absolutely MINT condition, especially for approaching 20-yrs old and having 120,767 miles.  The exterior of the car, the body and paint are a strong 8.5-9.0 on a 1-10 scale.  There is NO body damage what-so-ever, NOT even a door ding, as the car was ALWAYS parked away from other vehicles all by itself.  100% pure Brazilean Carnauba Wax was applid to the paint on a monthly basis.  The interior is a 9 on a 1-10 scale, simply because of the headliner and visors.  ALL the weatherstrips and door and window moldings are ALL like NEW.  As they have had Silicone applied to them on a monthly basis as well.  Flawless dashboard and ventilation ducts.  Flawless seats, carpet, console, and door panels without any type of FADING from the sun.  The T-tops seal perfectly without any water leaks.  4 matching tires with atleast 50% tread remaining on them.                                                        We purchased this car on 10/15/93 for $22,308 in CASH from what used to be Brooks Pontiac, Buick, GMC in Towson Maryland.  The car was then titled in the State of New York until 7/08 when it was brought to N. Florida until now.  The car has NEVER seen snow, sleet, or ice and it has NEVER been exposed to Road Salt either.  The original buyers order, sales invoice, and owners manuals are included in the sale, as well as two original key fobs with the original keys.  The key codes are included on the dealer invoice.  We just moved and I haven't located the window sticker yet, it will be included when and if it's found.  This is also a RARE car, as it is 1 of only 3,389 coupes produced that year.  There were only 1,750 25th Anniv. coupes produced, and they were getting $7,500-$10,000 over sticker back then.         The only reason this car is being sold, is that we just purchased a 2013 Camaro SS and don't have the garage space for this 94 T/A any longer.  Too bad, the dealer (Ron Anderson in Yulee) was willing to give us $5,000 trade-in allowance on paper, plus a 7% tax credit on the $5,000 allowance.  The MAJOR service records will be included with the sale also.  The most recent from Ron Anderson was $1,417.75 on 9/25/12 for the valve cover gaskets, water pump, Opti-spark ignition, spark plugs, and wires.  On 9/30/10, the bill was $346.92 for trans service with filter replacement, fuel filter, cleaning the throttle body, and replacing the IAC motor.                                     Terms of sale: A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE Pay-Pal deposit is required within 24-hrs after the auction ends, with the balance payable in full within 3-days/72-hrs by CASH in person or a bank wire-transfer to my personal bank account that is used for deposit purposes only.  You will be given 2-weeks to pick up the car, and I will assist with shipment in any way possible, but it is at YOUR cost.  NO exceptions...  The car is 20-yrs old with 120,000 miles and will be sold AS-IS, with NO warranties of any kind expressed or implied.  The car is available for inspection with atleast a 24-hr notice now, NOT after the auction ends.  Ask any questions NOW, not after you win the auction.  All coomunication will be answered within 24-hrs.  You are dealing with an honest seller with an outstanding feedback record, check my recent feedback and see what the buyers had to say for a MINT condition Mustang Cobra sold on 5/28/13, as well as my MINT condition Honda Civic Hybrid sold on 4/29/13.

GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners

Fri, 28 Oct 2011

This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.

Sci-fi movie Jinn features car designer, Firebird-bodied Camaro

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

If you're an automotive engineer being tormented by an immortal being made of fire, then wouldn't you think it best to have a custom coupe called the FireBreather for your getaway car? That's the FireBreather in the image above, adorned by the red wings that once fronted the Pontiac Firebird, running away from a black cloud of evil in a trailer for the movie Jinn.
The Jinn is eternal evil, always waiting for the chance to make things float across rooms before going on homicidal urban rampages. The FireBreather is a Gen-V Chevrolet Camaro - from the V6 to the ZL1 - that's been through Classic Design Concepts' extensive list of exterior and interior modifications, including entirely new front and rear fascias and side skirts, sway bars and springs, Pirelli P Zeroes and an available Edelbrock supercharger.
The movie - FireBreathing chase scenes and all - was shot in Monroe, Michigan. You can watch the trailer below, but since the FireBreather only get a couple of seconds on screen, you can find out more about it on Street Legal TV and its official site.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
