Here for sale is a rare and very desirable 1977 Trans AM Bandit Edition with the Y82 Special edition package also with the W72 6.6 400 CID engine. The W72 was the best performance option engine available with 200 HP verses 180 HP. I have the PHS Deluxe Package including the window sticker. This was an high option car, upon viewing the window sticker you can see all the extra options. This is one of 3 Trans AMs that I own the other 2 being a 1973 Brewster Green 455 SD 4 speed and a 1974 Admiralty Blue 455 SD automatic Trans AM. If this car does not sell I am going to restore it this summer. I own a restoration shop and I bought this car to restore and sell , but I have 2 other cars ahead of it and just sold my shop and I'm in the middle of building a new shop and have to put this car in storage I would like to see it go to a good home. The body is very solid and the dash and interior are all original. Dash being perfect along with the rear seats and front buckets would have to be recovered along with carpet and headliner. The door panels and rear panels are in very nice condition. All 4 fender flares and front spoiler will need to be replaced as I do not have them. The floors are very nice however sections of the front tow boards will need sections replaced and the trunk is in excellent condition with the exception of one small spot shown in the photos. All areas that need to be observed are in the photos there are 3 small bubbles in the paint 1 on the left quarter and the other 2 on the left door all are very small and is an easy fix . Ebay only allows 24 pictures however I have over 140 photos that can be emailed at the viewers request. I own a lift and took some detailed pictures of all areas . All in all it's one of the cleanest 1977 T Top cars I have seen in a long time. It's not a total rusted out piece of junk. The engine is a 1977 date code correct W72 499 CI. That is correct in every way but not numbers matching. The engine is new from top to bottom. I drove it a total of 15 miles to break it in and it runs perfect. It has an after market cam that gives it a little rumble. It has brand new after market 2 1/2 inch exhaust system with stainless tips. New shocks and the front end is completely rebuilt with urethane bushings. This car drives very well. Power locks are not working. These cars in restored condition are selling in the $60,000 to $70,000 range. This is a nice car that can be restored to a nice driver or complete nut and bolt restoration. These cars don't come along in this condition very often. Here is a great opportunity for someone to purchase this desirable model in unrestored condition. Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later

Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am
Mon, 13 May 2013No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.
