LT-4 ENGINE PACKAGE The 5.7L LT-4 is very special engine and it is among GM's meanest and most reliable ever made!! This car is producing significantly more power than the 330hp rating as most already know. It's HIGH 11:1 Compression ratio, upgraded performance heads, cam, and intake have made this truely my favorite small block of all time! It has a very special valvetrain to go along with that bigger camshaft.....the result is a car in which rapidly goes to redline with just a touch of the throttle. It is extremely nervous/responsive. ** Please NOTE: This car also has extrude honed manifolds, free flowing exhaust, ultra lightweight flywheel and driveshaft which all add more power and contribute to the unique driving experience of this Hawk. ** Details Regarding this particular vehicle It has one TINY Chip and one TINY scuff(1/4 inch long, not deep at all).....both can be buffed out. GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll

588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
