I am selling my 2006 Pontiac GTO. Not only does this thing have the looks, but it has the power to go with it. It has the 400hp LS2 motor, backed by a four speed automatic transmission, which shifts perfect, with no slipping, or any issues. 2006 was the last year that the GTO was produced by Pontiac, so the GTO name will only go up in value. Unfortunately for me, my loss is your gain on this one. It comes with a set of aftermarket 2Crave 18" wheels, along with the original wheels which are already equipped with snow tires. Yes, the vehicle does come with 8 wheels and tires for you. I have also installed a Corsa Sport Cat-back exhaust (makes the hearing part worth your time). The interior of the car has been equipped with a premium Memphis sound system, a Clarion touch screen with navigation, and a SiriusXM unit that is ready for activation. Oil changes with Mobil 1 and regular inspections have routinely been done since I have owned the vehicle. There are a few minor scratches and dings, but nothing regular wear and tear didn't cause. The vehicle currently has 69,722 miles on it, but that will go up due to the fact it is my daily driver. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me any time. General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.

Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?

Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
