Supercharged Ws6 Firbird on 2040-cars
Doniphan, Nebraska, United States
This car is in great condition and has always been garage kept. The paint is in very good condition but does have a few small chips in it which have been taken care of. As far as the interior goes it is flawless except for the passenger door does have a crack on the door panel which is very common for these cars. It has a Pro Charger on it and the motor was swapped for a crate motor with ported and polished heads and a few other parts as well. The transmission was upgraded to handle the power as well as the drive shaft and the rear end. The rear end is a dana 60 with Strange gears and a locker. It also has adjustable track bars. The suspension is also switched to Strange setup. If you are not familiar with it Strange is a brand name. The wheels were specially made to allow a bigger tire also. There are to many extras to list so if you have anymore question don't be afraid to email me. The only reason I am selling the car is because I don't have time to drive it anymore and it doesn't fit car seats very well. The A/C works great and does not overheat at all. It is very dependable and I would not be afraid to drive this car cross country. It has been maintained religiously.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels
Sat, 14 Dec 2013We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.
General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.
