1978 Mercedes-benz 240d on 2040-cars

I am the 2nd owner of this car for the past 14 years. This 78 240D, 4 cylinder 4 speed manual comes with 6 month old new paint, two years old rebuild engine, 1 year old new clutch and rebuild transmission, new front end, new breaks, new CD head unit, 16 inch Brabus Chrome wheels with Ok tires, rear tail light fascia, 3rd break light, additional gas tank in the trunk, 4 new oil filters and oil with some additional parts. Has rear head rest option (rare), front arm rest and passenger side mirror which are consider luxury options for the 240D. Dose have AC, but need to be re- installed. The salvage title was a resulted a 3rd quarter incident which the insurance company deemed to expensive to fix for the vehicle, at the time I just had the new rebuilt engine put back on the car, so I purchase it back from them, and had a shop repair the panel with out any problems.
Car has been great, but it is time for it to go to a new home as I no longer can drive a stick shift. Please ask all your question in advanced. Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.

Mercedes CLA45 AMG Racing is ready for a spot on the grid
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Mercedes-Benz trotted out its CLA45 AMG-based racer at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We first showed you the sedan in the deluge of news and reveals that precedes most good auto shows, and were blown away by the car, formally known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
We were strolling by the Mercedes stand, and figured we'd pop in and take a look at the new racer and its carbon-fiber body panels, gutted interior, and race-sourced aero parts. It's a looker, both as a road car and a track weapon. It's not clear what series the CLA45 AMG will qualify for, although it does seem like a shoe-in for the World Touring Car Championship.
