You are bidding on a very well preserved and unmolested RX7 GSL-SE with 145,000 miles. This particular model was new for 1984 and the highest priced RX7. It also carried the bigger 80 cubic inch Wankel Rotary producing 135 horsepower. This vehicle was garaged most of its life and it shows. It has the 1.3L Fuel Injected Rotary Engine and 5-Speed Manual Transmission. This car runs, drives and shifts great. Everything works as it should including ice cold A/C. Under the hood and undercarriage are clean and dry as can be. The body of this car is straight. It was repainted several years ago back to its original light metallic silver color and the paint still shows very well today. There are a few small imperfections and some paint anomalies associated with a vehicle of this age but nothing terribly obtrusive. All of the trim is in good condition. The glass on the passenger side door does have some scratches. The tires are a nice set of BFGoodrich with great tread. The interior is super clean on this car. It is a dark red which really goes good with the exterior color. The seats are in amazing shape. The carpets, headliner, dash, and door panels are all in the same awesome condition. Mazda CX-3 details come to light
Sun, 09 Dec 2012Mazda may be working on a new CUV, according to Auto Express. Reportedly called the CX-3, the small crossover will be engineered to take on the likes of the Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke, but with a focus on fuel efficiency and engaging driving characteristics.
The report names no sources, but says the CX-3 will benefit from a new small-displacement diesel engine. The 1.6-liter oil burner will be joined by a 1.3-liter gasoline engine when the vehicle debuts in 2014. Auto Express reports the model may bow as a front-wheel drive offering only, with no all-wheel-drive option.
And what will it look like? Word has it Mazda will continue to leverage the face we've seen on the current CX-5 (pictured). That means the company's shield grille will make the jump, but with more plastic lower body cladding. Inside, Auto Express says the CX-3 will offer buyers fold-flat rear seating for extra cargo capacity.
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.
