Parlin, New Jersey, United States

I need the potential buyer to please read very, very carefully before you commit to place your bid. This van was purchased 04/07/2014 through www.iaai.com auction, I had all the intention in the world to get it fixed and keep it as a family car but my budget is not as it was a week ago...I simply won't be able to get it towed down here (I live in Glenarden, MD) and fixed....I want to at least break even in this deal or lose less than what I would if I keep it. The Van is sitting in my friend's house in Parlin, NJ 08859 (30 miles south of Newark)..ALL AUCTION REASSIGNMENTS PAPERWORK WILL BE COMPLETED THROUGH MY FRIEND IN NEW JERSEY since he has all that documentation in his possession. The van starts and runs but according to my friend but would have to be towed as a safety precaution. My friend purchased a BRAND NEW BATTERY (paid $125 04/09/2014) because the one that came with the vehicle would not hold charge. I bought OEM RIGHT CORNER SIGNAL MARKER/LIGHT ($80) AND OEM HEAD LAMP ($60)  that are sitting in my house and I can throw them both in the sale for an extra $100 + $100 for the battery...I AM NOT A MECHANIC BY ANY MEANS SO YOU ARE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE AS IS...according to IAAI (and my friend) the van as it needs work as you can see in the pictures BUT I DO NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT NEEDS OTHER THAN THE RIGHT FENDER AND FRONT BUMPER... I will try to load as many pictures as I can, I'm going to start with IAAI's webpage pictures and a few pictures that my friend sent me with his cell phone..I'll load up as many pictures as I can. It comes with power everything, Factory DVD (set of headphones included) FACTORY LEATHER, REAR SPOILER THIS IS THE SPORTS PACKAGE....anything that you need to know please call me at 24-765-5471 and I'll try to answer as much as I can...REMEMBER THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS IS...NO WARRANTIES NO EXCHANGES NO REFUNDS AND NO RETURNS...ASK ALL PERTINENT QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING...full payment is expected 48 hours after auction ends and a $500 deposit is due in 48 hours....good luck!

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata in motion for the first time

Fri, 05 Sep 2014

By now, you've already poured over the details (however few there may be) and images of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. For us enthusiasts, it's arguably the most important new car debut of the year, and for Mazda, it marks the 25th anniversary of its iconic roadster - something that's being celebrated all weekend long out in Monterey, CA.
Our resident Miata owner, Chris Paukert, is out in sunny California and just passed along this video, showing all four generations of the MX-5 in motion (slowly), on the road at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. This is the first time the 2016 MX-5 has been shown driving under its own power, and it will join a wealth of other roadsters as Mazda attempts to break the world record for most Miatas in one place at one time.
Have a look at the emailed-from-an-iPhone-quality video above, and then take a moment to read Paukert's own notes from the ND Miata's live showing earlier this week, here.

2014 Mazda CX-5 with 2.5-liter Skyactiv engine

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Back in October, we compared the relative merits of two new and very good small crossovers: the 2013 Ford Escape and 2013 Mazda CX-5. The CX-5 we tested then had Mazda's 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine under its hood, and it managed to just edge out the EcoBoosted Ford despite being down by some 23 horsepower and 34 pound-feet of torque. Had it been available, the 2.5-liter Skyactiv engine that we recently had the opportunity to try out in the 2014 Mazda CX-5, it may have made that comparison even easier to call in the Japanese CUV's favor.
Clearly, if you're in the market for a reasonably sized crossover, the CX-5 should, at the very least, be on your test-drive list. The new engine offering will let buyers opt for a stronger powerplant, with 184 hp and 185 lb-ft on tap. On our second day in Austin's Hill Country - the first was spent quick-spinning the 2014 Mazda6 i Sport, you'll recall - we covered a couple of hundred miles and put the new CX-5 through its paces; here's what we turned up.

Next Mazda MX-5 Miata to weigh a ton(ne), literally

Wed, 27 Nov 2013

Looking at recent spy shots of the fourth-generation Mazda Miata, it's obvious this sporty little roadster will grow in size compared to the current model, but it's also going on a diet. At the Tokyo Motor Show, Auto Motor und Sport sat down with Mazda executive Kiyoshi Fujiwara, who gave a little more insight into the Miata's redesign.
Fujiwara said that they're aiming for a curb weight of a tonne (metric ton), which is 1,000 kilograms or right around 2,200 pounds, for the next-generation Miata. This would make the roadster at least 300 pounds lighter than the current NC Miata, but still about 200 pounds heavier than the original NA.
There is no indication as to how Mazda will go about removing that much weight from the bigger car, but with as popular as the power retractable hard top (PHRT) model is on the current car, the new Miata may ditch this feature to lose its weight. Improving the power-to-weight ratio appears to be a key goal of the Mazda team, so we also wouldn't be surprised to see a more powerful engine underneath the longer hood.
