Selling 2006 Lotus Elise Storm Grey Clean Title, 74k miles, 1.8L L4 PFI DOHC 16V 4 cyl engine.The car has the Touring pack (leather, power windows, carpet, and additional insulation in the body, doors, and the soft top). The Storm Titanium paint is metallic (another option) that really attracts the eye. The car has the StarShield pack (similar to a 3M clear bra on some of the panels). It is equipped with a 6 Speed Manual transmission. Black Leather interior, Air Conditioning, Driver & Passenger Airbag, AM-FM, CD Player, Leather Interior Surface,Upgraded sector 111 radiator, sector 111 brake lines, sector 111 lid bone,sector 111 trunk bin,aftermarket intake along with oem intake,new battery, new front brakes. Dunlop Direzza high performance tires,2 sets of keys along with owners manual. I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle. I purchased it January 7th 2013 with 68k miles on it. Car has not been tracked nor raced. Just daily driven around town. Tachometer ocassionally gets stuck at 3k but once reset works fine. Minor sun fading on rear visor of car. Race Recap: 2013 German Grand Prix is old beginnings, new endings [spoilers]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Just like at Silverstone last weekend, the German Formula One Grand Prix started with Lewis Hamilton putting his Mercedes-AMG Petronas on pole. The only thing missing at the pointy end of the grid was his teammate Nico Rosberg, who lined up beside him in England but back in 11th in Germany because of a team error in qualifying. So instead it was Vettel in the first Infiniti Red Bull in second, his teammate Mark Webber in third, the Lotus duo of Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean.
Again, just like at Silverstone - and Canada - Daniel Ricciardo used his magic beans to impress with the Toro Rosso, lining up in sixth, followed by Felipe Massa in the first Ferrari, Fernando Alonso in the second. Jenson Button in the McLaren, Nico Hülkenberg finished up the top ten.
When the lights went green, it didn't take long for the race to become a black-and-blue affair...
Lotus Evora S IPS automatic transmission option arrives in October [w/video]
Sat, 28 Jul 2012The Lotus Evora S IPS that the company showed drifting all around its test track earlier this year will be available in October, says Car and Driver. The kinder, gentler Lotus is fitted with the six-speed Intelligent Precision Shift transmission, an Aisin unit swiped from the Toyota Camry and retuned with Lotus electronics and actuators.
There are two 'regular' modes and two 'sport' modes on the IPS gearbox. The former include a traditional hands-off automatic and an auto mode with shifts handled by wheel-mounted paddles. The latter are a sport automatic setting that sharpens the car's responses and a manual sport mode for total driver control. The Evora S IPS hits showrooms in October.
