Classic 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark Iii on 2040-cars
Lexington, Kentucky, United States
Classic 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III Classic 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III with 44,000 Original miles. Same owner for the first 43 years (1970 - 2013). Dark Green exterior with Black leather interior. New heater core; New brake master cylinder; New front brake calipers and brake pads. Everything works, A/C, power seats, tilt wheel, cruise, door locks, wipers, electric antenna, AM/FM original radio, all lights & horns, all switches and windows. The rear quarter window motors both run but windows do not move. The black leather interior is unbelievably new including the headliner. It is ridiculous how nicely this car starts, runs, drives and rides! Paint is average but original with the normal rusty spots in the lower corners. The under carriage is also rusty but with some wire brushing, rust conversion and undercoating should be good for decades to come. Exhaust is solid as far as I can tell, sounds great. The front short park brake cable and housing, and the intermediate cable need to be replaced and new ones are included in the sale. This is a great running, driving unmolested classic that needs attention to the paint and body that will then be an outstanding basically one owner car. Available to see anytime. Located in Lexington, KY. Please call David at 859-983-2500 for more information. |

Lincoln takes to the Super Bowl with Twitter schizophrenia
Fri, 01 Feb 2013Lincoln has officially pulled off the wraps on its ad for this year's Super Bowl. As you may recall, the company invited people to send in their tweets to help craft the spot's story line with Jimmy Fallon in the director's chair. The company chose five tweets and ran with them, and the result is, well, about as focused as your average online comment thread. We do get plenty of shots of the all-new Lincoln MKZ, as well as at least one comment on the interior leather's suppleness.
Do we learn a single thing about the brand's new honey? Nope. But there's a turtle crossing, a band of bikers, a German farming student and herd of alpacas. Mostly, the ad just makes us tired. You can check out the full spot before it airs during the big game by watching it below. We'll be busy preparing for the alpacalypse.
AOL Autos' associate editor Peter Bigelow went deeper in his criticism. Have a read: Lincoln's Super Bowl Ad is A Flop.
Report: Lincoln getting all of Mercury's ad dollars
Mon, 03 Jan 2011Now that the curtain has closed on Mercury, Ford Motor Company will redirect all of its marketing dollars for the oft-overlooked brand to the Blue Oval's luxury outpost, Lincoln. In speaking to Automotive News, the chairman of the Lincoln National Dealer Council, Bob Tasca, Jr., said, "You'll see a lot stronger presence in the advertising of Lincoln in 2011."
Lincoln spokesperson Christian Bokich reminded AN that the automaker is "preparing the way for seven new or significantly refreshed vehicles" that will be launched over the next four years, and the largest ad blitz in 2011 will focus on the refreshed MKX crossover, as well as the MKZ sedan and its hybrid counterpart. Following that, Lincoln has plans to launch a completely overhauled version of its Navigator SUV, an all-new C-segment vehicle and the overhauled 2013 MKZ, which Tasca says will be "strikingly different from its Ford Fusion sibling."
