This is a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Freedom 4wd 4-door 4.0 inline six. I am the second owner and have owned it for 6 years. It has seen little off-road use. The Jeep has 133,200 miles on it. It is in excellent condition. It has always been garaged, maintained and cared for. The Jeep came from the factory with the uncommon selec-trak 4wd system (NP242). It also has the uncommon Up Country suspension group. This is the off road package. It sits about an inch higher than regular Cherokees. It has the top of the line stereo with a CD player, cassette and equalizer. Added items are a trailer hitch with wiring, Dash pad, and a cargo liner. Non-stock items to the engine are a K&N air filter and a series 50 flow master muffler. Other than these the Jeep is all stock. The Jeep runs and drives excellent For payment, I prefer Paypal, but will accept a cashier's check, or cash. These are the only payment methods I will accept. The winning bidder is required to pick up the Harley in person - I will not ship it under any circumstances. Jeep's new Chip Away commercial has us hunting Al Pacino's back catalog
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Chrysler has done a pretty good job as of late turning its television commercials into pep talks or rallying cries, but for its first ad for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it turned to Al Pacino's inspirational speech from the movie Any Given Sunday. In the movie, Pacino's character talks about how football is a game of inches, but the commercial, titled Chip Away, focuses more on the attention to detail that Jeep has exhibited on its updated flagship SUV.
Centering around the newest Grand Cherokee model, the luxurious $47,995 Summit trim level, the commercial shows off some of the hand-stitched leathers and real metal and wood accents found inside the cabin. Check out the new 60-second spot by scrolling below.

Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.
WWII Jeep 'found in crate' set to cross Greenwich auction block
Thu, 30 May 2013Fans of old military vehicles might want to pay extra close attention to the Greenwich Concours d'Elegance coming up this weekend. Crossing the Bonhams auction block on Sunday are a pair of seemingly flawless World War II Jeeps, which are both expected to fetch serious dollars.
Lot Number 305 at the auction is a 1945 Ford GPW Jeep that has been fully restored, which is expected to command between $35,000 and $45,000. Shortly after the Ford GPW, a potentially more interesting 1944 Willys MB (shown above) will be auctioned off, but Hemmings raises some red flags about this Jeep. First, it is claiming to have been "discovered in its original crate about 30 years ago," but there is no proof or documentation of any sort. Also, it is claiming to be all original, but it was given a paint job "shortly after it was discovered."
