This 1985 Jeep CJ-7 is the ultimate desert machine

Up for NO RESERVE is this great running and authentic looking 4x4.

She runs extremely well and fits right into the rough terrain.

The engine sounds healthy and idles smoothly.

The acceleration is positive and shifting through the gears is easy.

The 4x4 engages properly into all gears

The brakes stop the Jeep well

The Jeep comes equipped with a heavy duty Ramsey winch.

She is equipped with an on-board compressor system which is retro fitted to an air conditioning compressor.

Their is also a secondary alternator.

Cosmetically the Jeep is no beauty queen, however she retains a look that only age can achieve, much like a fine wine.

Their are dings, dents, scratches, fading, paint blisters, discoloration and other misc imperfections that can be seen in the photos. The body, chassis, frame and floors are structurally sound and rust 100% free.

The interior is in good shape for being an off roader (see pics).

The Jeep comes equipped with a set of Warn wheels including spare. The tires are near new.

This is just one nice CJ-7 with great bones that can be enjoyed as-is or restored to perfection. She is turn key and ready to be driven now. The new owner will be pleased. This is an unrestored vehicle so keep in mind their will always be misc imperfections in it's mechanical and or cosmetic condition.

This is a NO RESERVE auction so the high bidder will win!

Jeep teases pair of Moab concepts early

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

With the 47th annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari coming up at the end of this month, Jeep is preparing to roll out six new off-road-ready concept vehicles. The first two being teased are the Jeep Grand Cherokee "Trailhawk II" concept and the Jeep Wrangler "Slim," and while we have no information on either, we at least get an idea of what they'll look like.
We can't tell why this Wrangler is called Slim, but it has a nice black-and-red paint scheme with a serious off-roading front bumper and five-spoke beadlock wheels. There's even less we can figure out about the Grand Cherokee's Trailhawk II concept except that it appears to be painted up in the same Crusher Orange paint job as the recently introduced SRT Viper TA. We'll likely more of these as well as peeks at the other Moab concepts as we get closet to this year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari, which will be held March 23 through 31.

GMC boss wants a Jeep Wrangler rival

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

Challengers come and challengers go, but the Jeep Wrangler continues to push forward even after vehicles like the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the entire Hummer brand have been shut down. Now GMC reportedly wants to take a stab at the quintessential Jeep, as well.
The news comes directly from Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred, speaking with our compatriots over at Edmunds. Although Aldred said there are no plans currently on the table to expand GMC's lineup beyond the current range, "there is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy."
That could include a rival to the Wrangler, as well as a flagship luxury SUV positioned above the current Yukon Denali (pictured above). Just when (or for that matter, if) such models might come into fruition remains a big question mark, but it's certainly interesting to see what GM's dedicated truck brand has on the drawing board.

Fiesta-sized Jeep coming in 2014

Wed, 03 Jul 2013

We've heard rumors before about a new, baby Jeep to slot below the new-for-2014 Cherokee (pictured) in the automaker's lineup. Now, Edmunds is reporting that the new crossover will arrive sometime in 2014, and will be about the same size as the Ford Fiesta. This currently unnamed vehicle will effectively replace both the Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup.
Speaking to Edmunds, Jeep CEO Mike Manley said that the new, small Jeep will be assembled in Italy and marketed globally beginning sometime next year. Manley did not provide many details on the new model, but did say that it will be 4.2-meters (165 inches) long. The Cherokee, by comparison, is 4.6-meters long (181 inches). Furthermore, Edmunds reports that while the new small Jeep will offer diesel power in other markets, there are no plans for an oil-burning version here in the US.
Many other automakers are exploring this smaller crossover segment here in the US. General Motors recently launched the Buick Encore, which is loosely based on the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact's platform. Ford has already launched its Fiesta-based EcoSport in other markets, and has reportedly been pondering the idea of offering it in the US, as well.
