Presenting a good used 1997 Honda Accord

Silver with beige cloth seats, with nice appearance (no rips or tears). Paint is good (except hood where fading and clear coat is coming off) and interior is nice (no cracking on dash). Good tires, with (1) extra tire (tire only - no rim in trunk) with excellent tread and Honda original spare (doughnut).

Very low miles considering the year (less than 9800 miles per year), recent tune-up, mechanic replaced valve cover gasket (minor leak), spark plugs timing, etc. spent 250.00 11/2012.  Needed a battery purchased brand new 30-days ago that cost me 95.00.

Engine starts every time, runs fine, but transmission is now slipping (hard shifting) and will need to be serviced or replaced.
There is also a small crack in the driver side tail lamp that has been taped as shown in photos.

Runs and drives, and loaded with power accessories such as: A/C, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, Pioneer detachable-face in dash (MP3/WMA/EQ) stereo with CD and Remote. Powered by an economical 4 cylinder motor and automatic transmission.

ENGINE HAS MILES BUT HAS BEEN VERY DEPENDABLE, DELIVERING OVER 30 PLUS MILES PER GALLON.

After resolving the transmission issue, would make a great 1st car for a teenager in school, or 2nd car for an adult.  Could also be parted-out for between $1800. - $2000.00.

Honda, Audi sweep European tin-top championships

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Despite his win at the Japanese Grand Prix this weekend, Sebastian Vettel still has another race or two to go before he can claim his fourth consecutive World Championship in Formula 1. Back in Europe, however, this weekend saw several championship titles decided in a variety of tin-top racing series.
In the British Touring Car Championship, Gordon Shedden won the final round at Brands Hatch this weekend, but that wasn't enough to defend his title. Instead, the ultimate glory went to Andrew Jordan, also driving a Honda Civic, coming in ninth place to take a seven-point victory over Shedden in the final standings. Little wonder then that Honda took the constructors' championship and the Honda Yuasa Racing team took the teams' title. Four-time BTCC champion and Fifth Gear co-host Jason Plato, now driving for MG, landed third in the standings.
While Honda dominated the British championship, it was Audi that reigned supreme in mainland Europe. In the Superstars International Series - Italy's touring-car championship - Gianni Morbidelli drove the Audi RS5 to his fifth title, finishing the season's final race in a calculated third place behind the BMW racecars of Giovanni Berton and Max Mugelli. It's the second consecutive win for the RS5 in the Superstars series (Johan Kristoffersson won the title last year), and the second this year following Mike Rockenfeller's title in the RS5 DTM.

2016 Acura NSX aimed at Ferrari 458 for the price of Audi R8

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Acura has done a good job of keeping the next-generation NSX under the wraps for the past few months, especially after a fiery little incident during testing at the Nürburgring earlier this year. But UK's What Car? recently got a chance to speak with development boss Ted Klaus, and he unleashed a few new details about the much-anticipated supercar to make it even harder for us to wait.
Among the info was a strong estimate of the NSX's performance potential. "We have to achieve the type of acceleration that the customer is achieving with the Ferrari," said Klaus to What Car?. "More importantly we have to achieve this every day and also at the Nürburgring." Assuming Acura's supercar is as actually quick as a 458 Italia, then it could hit 60 miles per hour in around 3.5 seconds.
Klaus also claims that the wickedly fast performance could come at a relative bargain for the class. The price is reportedly being benchmarked against the Audi R8, which would put the NSX around $130,000 in the US. While hardly cheap, it would still be a healthy discount off a 458.

Honda reveals new Civic hatch for WTCC

Tue, 03 Dec 2013

If you thought the Honda Civic Type R prototype we drove in Japan looked cool, and that the Civic Tourer that Honda will race in the British Touring Car Championship next year looks even cooler, just take a look at this.
Possibly the ultimate race-spec Civic, this is the car Honda will field next year in the World Touring Car Championship. Like the Type R prototype (but unlike the BTCC-spec wagon) the WTCC challenger takes the form of Honda's latest Euro-spec Civic five-door hatchback.
It's the car with which Honda intends to defend its title and capture the driver's title in next year's championship. It'll face a tough challenge from the new Citroën team headlined by Sebastien Loeb in the new C-Elysee, not to mention the rest of the grid. Fortunately, Honda is entering a whole mess of these Civics in the series, with former champion Gabriele Tarquini and former F1 driver Tiago Monteiro driving the works entries (hence the mixed "Gabriago" tag on the window) and another pair to be entered by privateer teams.
