You are bidding on a 1996 GMC Suburban K2500 4 wheel drive with barn doors and SLE trim. I am the 3rd owner of this truck and have had it since 2004. The truck has 175,000 miles, the milage will go up a little I still drive it. It runs well and can be driven anywhere. It has the 4 wheel drive shifter in the floor. The overall condition of the truck is very good for its age. There is some rust starting on the lower part of the doors (see photo). The cloth interior is in good shape with no rips or tears. I have all the maintenance records from myself and the previous owner. Here is the breakdown of what was done to the truck last year or so..... New injection pump, lift pump, vacuum pump, front shocks, steering stabilizer, front pads, starter, crankshaft pulley, and a Parker 200 series fuel filter/water separator (recommended by GM) it replaced the old fuel filter.  The truck also has a PMD relocation kit. The A/C has a leak it will hold a charge and work well for about a month then it starts to fade. Drivers headlight has a crack in the plastic lens (see photo). The water pump has started to leak at the shaft. GM put in  coolant seal tablets they seem to help some. The new owner should plan on replacing it. The cabin has a water leak that comes in to the blower from the air intake after a heavy rain but the heat works fine. The truck is due for an oil change included in the auction is an oil filter. I have a few other things that I will include like a cargo mat, drivers window switch (from junk yard) old filter housing and whatever I have. I have no idea if the two remotes work I never used them. It comes with two keys. Buyer is responsible for shipping. The 2009 Suburban I had shipped from TX to VA cost 700.00 and took a week. Feel free to call 7034078649 with questions. I have a clean VA title in my name.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.

GM recalling Silverado and Sierra HD diesel pickups over fuel gauge follies

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

General Motors is recalling 9,733 of its heavy-duty twins over concerns with their 6.6-liter diesel engines and dual fuel tanks. The recall covers some Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from model years 2012 and 2013, although the exact dates that the recalled trucks were built isn't specified. There's also no mention of how many models come from Chevrolet and how many are from GMC.
The problem rests with the transfer pump responsible for moving fuel from the rear tank to the front tank - it could fail, resulting in an inaccurate fuel gauge. It hardly requires explaining, but a faulty fuel gauge could leave drivers in a situation where they run out of diesel.
GM will begin notifying customers of affected vehicles, who will be asked to report to their dealers for a free replacement transfer pump.

2014 Chevy Silverado details continue to dribble out

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gotten its hands on a few more details concerning the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and the 2014 GMC Sierra. General Motors held a conference call on the two trucks, allowing Jeff Luke, executive chief engineer for both, to answer a few questions. Luke said truck buyers are largely concerned with power and fuel economy, and as such, GM will continue to explore new methods of providing both. That may translate into any number of drivetrain permutations, including light-duty diesel engines, eight-speed transmissions or even a twin-turbocharged V6.
What's more, both the 2014 Silverado and its GMC twin will boast a tow rating of 11,500 pounds, but only when equipped with a max-trailering package. Without that special package, the rating drops to 10,200 lbs for regular cabs and 9,700 lbs for crew cabs. Buyers will no longer be able to opt for a 4.10 gear ratio.
We're also excited to hear that GM plans on making the Z71 package into something more than just a few a stickers. While Luke didn't go into details, PickupTrucks.com says "it will get significant improvements in the future." Head over to the site for a quick rundown of the call's highlights.
